Creatures of Sonaria: How to Get Kelvaris From the Monster Kelp Missions

Finish four Summer Paradise objectives, including the tricky palm tree grow task, to unlock the Tier 5 omnivore for good.

Finish four Summer Paradise objectives, including the tricky palm tree grow task, to unlock the Tier 5 omnivore for good.

Kelvaris is a Tier 5 terrestrial omnivore added during Week 2 of the Summer Paradise Event 2026 in Creatures of Sonaria. You cannot buy it with Shrooms or Robux. Instead, you earn it by clearing a set of event objectives, and once they are all done the creature stays on your account permanently.

Quick answer: Open the Missions tab, select Event, and complete all four Monster Kelp objectives — grow a Tier 5 terrestrial to age 100, spin the Semi-Aquatic Gacha five times, grow palm trees near drinkable water, and experience Monsoon weather. Finishing the last one unlocks Kelvaris.

The four Monster Kelp objectives

All four tasks live under one mission called Monster Kelp. To find it, open Creatures of Sonaria, go to the Missions tab, and switch to the Event section to see the current Summer Paradise missions. Monster Kelp is the entry that holds every objective you need for Kelvaris.

ObjectiveWhat it requires
Grow to age 100Raise a Tier 5 terrestrial species to age 100 (growth tokens and combat logging do not count)
Spin the gachaSpin the Semi-Aquatic Gacha five times
Grow palm treesCollect palm sprouts around the map and grow them in drinkable water
Monsoon weatherBe present when the Monsoon weather event happens

Fastest way to clear all four missions

The tasks overlap, so run them at the same time instead of one after another. Your age counter climbs while you move, gacha spins fill downtime, and Monsoon arrives on its own. The palm tree task is the real bottleneck, so build your session around it.

Spawn as a mobile Tier 5 terrestrial rather than a slow tank. You will be running around the map collecting palm sprouts anyway, so speed saves time. Let its age tick up naturally toward 100 while you do everything else.
Open the gacha and spin the Semi-Aquatic Gacha five times. This is the quickest task and you stay spawned the whole time, so clear it early to get it out of the way. Double-check you are spinning the Semi-Aquatic pool and not a different one.
Break resource piles around the map to get palm sprouts. Drops are random, not guaranteed, so keep breaking piles as you travel. If piles near you stop appearing, move to another zone and cycle back later.
Carry your sprouts to a spot next to drinkable water and plant them. Wait out the planting cooldown, then repeat until the counter shows the task is done. Staying close to water means you are not backtracking after every plant.
Keep moving and surviving until the Monsoon weather rolls in. It rotates passively, so there is nothing to trigger — just stay alive in a server long enough for it to hit. Avoid fights during this window, since dying only wastes your time.

Why the palm tree mission stalls

Most players get stuck on the palm trees, and it usually comes down to one of three things. Fix whichever applies and the counter will start moving again.

  • You are not close enough to a valid drinkable water source when you plant.
  • You do not have enough palm sprouts yet, since pile drops are random.
  • You are still on cooldown from your last plant.

Note: If you use a growth token for the age-100 task and the mission does not tick, let the age climb naturally instead. Growth items sometimes fail to register for this objective.

How to confirm Kelvaris is unlocked

Completing the final objective marks all four Monster Kelp tasks as done and adds Kelvaris to your account as a permanent unlock. After that, you can select it like any other owned creature. Because the unlock sticks to your account, you keep it even after the Summer Paradise Event ends.

Kelvaris stats and abilities

Kelvaris is a Tier 5 (Huge) terrestrial creature with an omnivore diet, built around an Ancient Kelp Titan design. Kelp drapes across its body and lets it blend into shoreline debris, hiding during the day before it emerges at night to feed on carrion. It takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes to grow from a newborn to a full adult.

On the defensive side, Kelvaris carries Unbreakable, Iron Stomach, and strong Poison resistance. Its active kit includes Harden and Reflux, and it can use Sand Breath. In practice it leans on disease, poison, and corrosion pressure rather than raw burst, so it rewards long, drawn-out fights and struggles to close out quick kills. Its movement, including a decent climb, is a genuine strong point for a creature this size.

If you missed the window or want to work through the objectives now, head straight to the Event section of the Missions tab and start with the gacha spins before tackling the palm trees — that ordering clears the easy task first and leaves you free to grind the slow one while your age counter and the Monsoon timer both take care of themselves.
