The Arc Dragon of Life arrived in Creatures of Sonaria on August 21st, 2026 as part of the LEGO Ninjago Dragons Rising collaboration. You can jump in and play it straight away, but keeping it as a permanent species in your inventory works differently from a normal creature. Instead of ageing on its own, the dragon only grows when you clear corruption from the map.

How the Arc Dragon of Life grows
The Arc Dragon of Life does not age naturally. The only way to fill its growth bar is to find and break corrupted nodes scattered across the world. These corrupted regions and nodes are invisible to other creatures and only appear while you are actively playing as the dragon, so you need to be in that play slot to see and clear them.
Big corrupted nodes react when you attack them by spawning elemental monsters. That means fighting off those monsters and destroying big nodes go hand in hand, and both feed directly into your mission progress. You will find themed variants across the map, including crystal-style nodes and crystal elemental monsters in the mountain region, and standard nodes in areas such as Swamp Hollow.
Forest Restoration missions and rewards
The event runs on a set of repeatable “Forest Restoration” missions. Clearing all four hands you 3,380 Elemental Energy, the currency you spend in the event shop. The missions reset every day, so you can keep farming Elemental Energy for the rest of the event.

Steps to play and complete the event
You will know it worked when the mission tracker marks all four objectives as complete and the Elemental Energy lands in your event currency total. If the growth bar stops moving, it usually means there are no active corrupted nodes near you. Move to a region that is currently corrupted, since nodes are the only thing that grows the dragon.
Permanent species unlock and shop timing
Playing the Arc Dragon of Life during the event is not the same as owning it forever. The permanent species entry is gated in the event shop and stays locked for the first three weeks, roughly 21 days from the August 21st launch. Until that timer runs out, you can still play the dragon and stockpile Elemental Energy so you are ready to buy the species the moment it opens.

The same August 21st update also brought a redesign for the Kavoradis and added a new Lush Kavoradis subspecies, but neither is required to earn the dragon. As long as you keep clearing corrupted nodes and completing the daily Forest Restoration missions, you will have plenty of Elemental Energy banked to secure the Arc Dragon of Life permanently once its shop entry unlocks in week three.
