Crimson Desert update 1.10.00 is live, and it brings two of the things players have been waiting for: a flying mount and a way to spend idle time on a Pinball machine. The headline changes are a reworked Re-Blockade system, growable Baby Wyverns, and a new Kuku Bird Chick pet that can both become special mounts, plus the Pinball and Orb Roll minigames. Underneath those features sits a deep list of combat tweaks, housing additions, and bug fixes.

You can read the full breakdown on the official Patch Notes Version 1.10.00 page. Below is what each major change actually does.

Wyvern mount and Kuku Bird Chick pet
The new Wyvern mount is the biggest draw. You don't get it ready to ride. Instead, you raise a Baby Wyvern, feed it, and let it grow. Once it hits a set growth level, you can register it as a special mount. The same system applies to the newly added Kuku Bird Chick pet, which can also mature into a special mount through feeding.
To track progress, the inventory now shows a growth level for pets and horses, so you can see exactly how close a Baby Wyvern or Kuku Bird Chick is to becoming rideable.
Three new equipment items support the system. The Sigil of Valor description was also updated and can now be equipped on Dogs and Baby Wyverns, with the Iron Eagle and Phoenix listed as a future addition in a later patch.
| New equipment | Type |
|---|---|
| Wyvern Saddle | Mount equipment |
| Small Kuku Bird Eggshell | Pet equipment |
| Small Wyvern Aviator Hat | Pet equipment |

Pinball and Orb Roll minigames
Two new minigames give you fresh ways to earn cosmetics and crafting materials. Pinball lives inside the inn near the Delesyian Institute, while Orb Roll is found at the Great Gate of Urdavah. Playing Pinball earns Marni Tokens, which you spend at the new Marni Token Exchange.
| Minigame | Location | Rewards |
|---|---|---|
| Pinball | Inn near the Delesyian Institute | Material Box of Fortune, Abyss Artifact, 2 types of Artifact Chests, a Helm, 13 types of furniture, 3 gear crafting recipes |
| Orb Roll | Great Gate of Urdavah | Material Box of Fortune, Abyss Artifact, 2 types of Artifact Chests, golden apple, 3 carpets, 3 lights |

Re-Blockade rework
The Re-Blockade system was redesigned to make territory control feel less repetitive. The flow before and after blockades now runs through two added stages, Battle and Reconstruct, which structure each encounter more clearly.
For major strongholds, you can request Protection from the regional contribution assessor to suppress future Re-Blockades. The contribution assessor is the role formerly called the manager of the contribution shop, now renamed alongside the contribution office. Liberating strongholds pays out contribution, provisions, trade goods, and additional items.

Housing, farming, and world changes
A new Carpet category was added to house decoration, and select dyehouses now sell carpets directly. Owners of the Azerian Estate get a cat tower at Furlington Farm. The Large Farming Scythe can now be used to collect gatherable items, and the constellation research journal gained a map that points you to constellation locations.
Smaller touches include improved feeding animations for some wild animals while you hold them and changed carry postures for certain pets.

Combat and action changes
Blackstar received a new ground attack skill. Boss fights now hold onto your element slot and arrow, bullet, or small cannonball slot choices even after you die and retry, so you won't have to reset loadout slots mid-fight. Normal arrows are now used first once Replenishing Arrows run out, and Damiane's unarmed skill damage was adjusted.
| Change | Effect |
|---|---|
| Blackstar ground attack | Adds a new combat option |
| Boss retry slot retention | Element and ammo slots stay after dying and retrying |
| Arrow priority | Normal arrows fire first when Replenishing Arrows are empty |
| Damiane unarmed skills | Damage adjusted |
| Axiom Force (controller) | Buttons can now be customized |

Controls and UI updates
On controller, the basic interaction (Y/â–³) no longer acts as a long press when using the Default preset, and Axiom Force buttons can be remapped. On keyboard and mouse, a bug that stopped secondary key customizations from saving was fixed.
The Mission Dispatch menu now sorts tabs by mission instead of region. New knowledge entries for Dye Colors and Small Tools appear under Journal > Knowledge > Gatherables. Photo Mode received UI improvements, and the inventory's new growth level display covers both pets and horses.
Notable bug fixes
A large batch of fixes targets long-standing issues across quests, combat, and rendering. The most impactful ones are listed below.
- Rematch progress no longer reverts to an earlier state after a win.
- Bosses no longer damage themselves while attacking.
- Attack animations no longer cancel when using Axiom Force or Force Palm on a mount.
- Double jump no longer triggers from a single Vault input, and Vault can now be used as a Counter.
- Items picked up by a pet with a full inventory no longer vanish.
- Extra Legendary Fish no longer appear in the pond after loading, and Legendary Fish can no longer be used from quick slots.
- Crashes on the dye menu in certain situations were fixed.
- Disbanding comrades while mounted no longer dismisses your horse.
- Rain no longer appears indoors, and wet-terrain rendering was stabilized.
- The "Swift Delivery, Safe Borders" quest NPCs now appear correctly, and the "Harvest of Greed" wagon no longer disappears on retry.
One known issue remains: the Phoenix and Iron Eagle still cannot equip the Sigil of Valor. A fix for that is planned for the next patch.
If you've already updated, head to the inn near the Delesyian Institute to try Pinball, then start feeding a Baby Wyvern or Kuku Bird Chick so it's ready to register as a mount the moment it hits the required growth level.
