What goes live with In the Jungle
The expansion moves Dave away from the saltwater Blue Hole and into a freshwater lake set within a jungle. The story starts with a mysterious event reported by the residents of Utara, the lakeside village at the center of the new adventure. The launch carries roughly 10 hours of content.
Utara runs on a real-time schedule instead of the base game’s time-block structure, so daily planning matters more. You dive for new fish, gather fruits and resources, and build relationships with locals by completing tasks and side quests. As your bonds with villagers grow, they start visiting Dave’s new restaurant as guests.
That restaurant is Bancho Grill, a freshwater, fully cooked menu that replaces the sushi format. Unlike Bancho Sushi’s fixed horizontal lane, you can move freely across the Grill and serve customers in multiple areas. The freshwater lake also brings new aquatic life and new hazards such as piranhas, electric eels, and crocodiles.
To handle the threats, Dave gets the Jungle Gun, a weapon that switches between net gun, shotgun, sniper, and standard gun forms. Expect new minigames, boss fights, puzzles, and jungle creatures woven into the campaign.
