Diablo 4 Season 15 PTR: The Top Build for Every Class So Far

The highest Pit tiers each class has reached on the Season 15 test server, plus the Uniques and Charms carrying them.

The highest Pit tiers each class has reached on the Season 15 test server, plus the Uniques and Charms carrying them.

The Season 15 Public Test Realm is live, and the leaderboard already tells a clear story about which builds are climbing the Pit fastest. Some familiar names are still on top, but the new legacy Uniques and Soul Splinters have shuffled the numbers enough to matter. Every build below reaches its ceiling with access to the strongest gear in the game, including Mythic Uniques, Charms, and the season’s new socketables.

Quick answer: The highest-climbing build on the Season 15 PTR is Blazing Scream Warlock at Pit Tier 150, followed by Penetrating Shot Rogue (Tier 145) and Whirlwind Barbarian (Tier 141).

Keep one thing in mind before you commit. These placements come from a short test window, and Blizzard routinely adjusts numbers between the PTR and launch. The rankings here reflect the current test build, not a locked-in Season 15 meta.

The top build for each class

Blazing Scream Warlock (Tier 150)

Warlock leads every class on the PTR with Blazing Scream, a Hellfire-focused build that reached Pit Tier 150. It chains Blazing Skull, Abodian, and Metamorphosis (Destruction Demon) to clear the screen quickly. Instead of leaning on a single Unique Charm, it runs two separate Charm sets to push Demonform and Hellfire as far as possible.

Penetrating Shot Rogue (Tier 145)

Death Trap is no longer the Rogue to beat. Penetrating Shot took the top Rogue spot at Pit Tier 145, carrying over its strength from last season. The build ramps damage hard as long as it avoids getting hit, and it runs Poison Imbuement, though cold could work as an alternative.

Whirlwind Barbarian (Tier 141)

Whirlwind stays a staple for Barbarian, reaching Pit Tier 141. It pulls enemies in, spins through them, and stacks extra damage while remaining hard to kill. Like most top builds this season, it slots the new Leoric’s Crown and pairs it with Soul Splinters, then rounds out with shouts and The Grandfather.

Slot typeUniques used
Core UniquesCrown of Leoric, Rage of Harrogath, The Grandfather, Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus, Gohr’s Devastating Grips, Tibault’s Will, Ring of Starless Skies

Ring of Fire Pyromancy Sorcerer (Tier 137)

The best Sorcerer on the PTR is a Ring of Fire and Pyromancy build that hit Pit Tier 137. It builds on the Ring of Fire setup that was popular in Season 14, but folds in Hydra and Meteor this time around. It centers on Orsivane and keeps Ice Armor as its defensive cooldown.

Slot typeUniques used
Core UniquesLeoric’s Crown, Raiment of the Infinite, Orsivane, Tibault’s Will, Drognan’s Anguish

Poison Counterswarm Spiritborn (Tier 137)

Poison Counterswarm keeps Spiritborn competitive at Pit Tier 137, matching the top Sorcerer’s climb. Notably, it runs fewer Uniques than most rivals, which speaks to how strong the core is. It leans on three of the new Iconic Uniques, and its strength shows how much the season’s new gear is lifting builds up.

Minion Necromancer (Tier 130)

Minion Necromancer leads the class at Pit Tier 130, and it plays as simply as it sounds. You flood the field with Skeleton Warriors, Mages, and a Golem, then layer on darkness damage and chill from Bloodless Scream. Army of the Dead gives it a strong Ultimate, making this an easy build to pilot.

Core UniquesThe Undercrown, Bloodless Scream, The Hand of Naz, Blood Moon Breeches, Pact of Bone, Blood-Mad Idol

Werebear Derecho Hurricane Druid (Tier 123)

The Druid Werebear build reached Pit Tier 123 by stacking Uniques that synergize with shapeshifting. Rabies spreads faster, Hurricane (Derecho) becomes a toggle skill, and Poison Creeper plus Grizzly Rage fill out the kit. It sits a bit lower than the front-runners, which suggests Druid is still a touch behind.

Slot typeUniques used
Core UniquesCrown of Lucion, Ifeh’s Dire Totem, Dire Howl, Tibault’s Will, Wildheart Hunger, Stone of Jordan, Mark of the Old Wolf, Malefic Crescent
CharmRing of Starless Skies

Holy Light Aura Paladin (Tier 115)

Holy Light Aura Paladin sits at the bottom of the class climbs on the PTR, reaching Pit Tier 115. The item selection looks different from earlier seasons, and because the build rarely takes damage, the new Seasonal Gems, new Uniques, and Blood-Mad Idol should be strong here. Shield of Retribution reached the same height, so both are worth watching as balance shifts.

Slot typeUniques used
Core UniquesLeoric’s Crown, Squirt’s Blouse, Griswold’s Opus, Dawnfire, Temerity, Ring of Starless Skies, Blood-Mad Idol

Why Leoric’s Crown and Soul Splinters show up everywhere

If you noticed the same helmet across most of these builds, that is not a coincidence. Leoric’s Crown is one of the legacy Uniques returning in Season 15, and it boosts the power of socketed gems while stacking heavy Damage Reduction. Paired with the right gems and aspects, it can push a character toward roughly 92% overall Damage Reduction, which is why so many top builds slot it.

Soul Splinters are the season’s new socketables for jewelry, and they trade a strong bonus for a real drawback. The standout for pushing dense Pit content is the Splinter of the Black Soulstone. Killing an enemy absorbs a soul for 15 seconds, and each soul increases your damage while slightly increasing damage taken. That kill-based ramp pairs directly with Leoric’s Crown, giving builds a stable damage engine in high-density fights.

Because both systems lift so many builds at once, the gaps between classes on the PTR are narrower than the raw tiers suggest. Expect placements to move as Blizzard tunes numbers ahead of the full launch, so treat these rankings as a snapshot of where the meta stands right now rather than a final verdict.
