Dig and Clean is built around one loop: sweep the sand with a detector, dig up whatever is buried, spray it clean, and reveal what you actually found. Update 1 fills that loop with 60 collectibles spread across 10 rarities, and the odds of pulling one range from almost guaranteed to functionally impossible without heavy Luck stacking.
Quick answer: There are 60 items in Update 1. The most common is the Rusty Can at 1 in 2, and the rarest revealed items sit in the Omega tier, topping out at 1 in 5,000,000,000. A few slots are still unnamed and marked TBC.

How to read rarity by color before you dig
Once your detector identifies a buried item, it glows with a color tied to its rarity. That glow tells you what tier is waiting under the sand, so you can decide whether a spot is worth digging or worth skipping. Use the color chart below to sort your finds on sight.
| Rarity | Glow color |
|---|---|
| Common | White |
| Uncommon | Light green |
| Rare | Blue |
| Epic | Violet |
| Legendary | Yellow |
| Mythic | Light red |
| Divine | Light purple with a cyan tinge |
| Eternal | Dark green |
| Transcendent | Rainbow |
| Omega | Dark red |
What makes an item worth more
Rarity is only part of an item’s value. After a find is fully washed, three stats appear above it: Rarity, Weight, and Quality. When two copies of the same item are in identical condition, the heavier one sells for more Gold and pulls in more money from visitors.

Quality runs through five tiers, and pushing an item up this ladder raises how much it earns:
- OK → Good → Great → Perfect → MINT
MINT is the top condition. To improve an item, place it on one of the Polishing stations in your base. Polishing does not cost Gold. A base holds two Polishers, and each Gold upgrade shortens the time a Polisher needs to move an item to the next Quality tier. For the strongest income, display your rarest items at MINT Quality.
How Luck changes your odds
Your chance of detecting a rare item on any island scales with your Luck multiplier. Higher Luck guarantees that your detector surfaces at least Legendary-tier finds, and you raise it three ways: activating boosts, buying gamepasses, and equipping stronger detectors. Codes such as UPDATE1 grant a temporary 2x Luck window, while SECRET10 gives a short 10x Luck spike, which is useful before a long digging session aimed at rare pulls.
Because the rarest tiers start at odds like 1 in 600,000,000, chasing Omega items realistically means stacking every Luck source you have and equipping the best detector you can afford before each attempt. You can start a run from the official Dig and Clean game page.
Track your collection in the Index
To check which of the 60 items you already own and which are still missing, open the Index by pressing the book icon on the left side of the screen. It lists every collected and unobtained item, so you can confirm at a glance whether a fresh dig filled a gap in your display. As the developers add more items and rarities in future updates, they will appear here alongside the current set.
