Hades wants to prove he is a natural leader, and the "Yes, Your Lugubriousness" quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley puts that claim to the test across three of the Valley's businesses. You play the role of supervisor and minion while the Lord of the Underworld tries his hand at running Chez Remy, selling a potion, and managing Scrooge McDuck's shop. Each attempt ends in flames, and your job is to keep things from burning down while collecting his pay.

Prerequisites to start the "Yes, Your Lugubriousness" quest
The quest will not appear until several characters and friendships are in place. Confirm each requirement below before you talk to Hades, or the leadership conversation will not unlock.
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Characters unlocked | Ursula, Mother Gothel, Vanellope, and Flynn |
| Hades friendship | Friendship level 4 or higher |
| Other progress | Enough story progress with Scrooge McDuck and Remy |
You can confirm the quest's status at any time from the Quest log in the main menu. Once everything is met, speak to Hades to begin.
Grecian Baked Fish ingredients and locations
Hades' first idea is to run Chez Remy and serve his own Grecian Baked Fish. Talk to Remy first to convince him to hand over the kitchen for a short time, then collect two of each ingredient below.
| Ingredient | Where to get it |
|---|---|
| 2 Salt | Fishing in Everafter's Waters (not ripples) |
| 2 Elysian Grain | Goofy's stall in The Elysian Fields |
| 2 Olives | Foraged in The Elysian Fields or The Fiery Plains |
| 2 Ambrosia | Goofy's stall in The Elysian Fields |
| 2 Stygian Mudskipper | Fishing orange ripples in The Elysian Fields, The Fiery Plains, The Statue's Shadow, or Mount Olympus |
If you want the recipe yourself, check Remy's house for the Grecian Baked Fish recipe book and use it from your inventory to learn it. This is optional, since Hades does the cooking.

Run Chez Remy and put out the grease fires
Step 1: Return to Hades with all ten ingredients and hand them over. He will head to Chez Remy to start his shift under your watch.
Step 2: Meet Hades at the restaurant and listen to Vanellope's feedback on the Grecian Baked Fish. Tempers rise quickly, and the dining room catches fire.
Step 3: Use the Royal Shovel to smother the flames. These are grease fires, so water makes them worse. There are 7 grease fires to clear in total.
Step 4: Talk to Hades afterward about how the restaurant shift went. He agrees to try a different line of work.

Dress as a salesperson in black and blue
The next task moves Hades into sales, and he wants you dressed like a proper minion in his colors. You need an outfit that is formal and uses black and blue.
Step 1: Open the Wardrobe and apply the special Hades quest filter to find garments that satisfy the requirements automatically.
Step 2: Once your outfit meets every requirement, Hades meets up with Flynn Rider. Follow them and listen to the sales pitch.
Step 3: Talk to Hades when the conversation ends to hear his take on being a salesman. Ursula has tricked him out of payment, so you must recover it yourself.

Find Hades' wages in The Bind
Step 1: Go to Ursula's house and pick up the note she left on the floor. Select it in your inventory to read the clue, which points to a spot near the Library of Lore that is safe from Hades' temper.
Step 2: Travel to The Bind and search the beach for orange fishing ripples. Fish them until you pull up the quest object.
Step 3: Talk to Hades once you have the item. His next plan is to run Scrooge McDuck's shop, but he needs you to do the talking.

Run Scrooge's shop and extinguish the final fires
Step 1: Visit Scrooge McDuck's store and discuss hiring Hades for the day. Scrooge is reluctant but agrees to trust you.
Step 2: Watch Hades handle his first customer. When a difficult shopper like Mother Gothel does not get her way, the shop bursts into flames.
Step 3: Use the Royal Watering Can to put out the fires this time, since these are ordinary flames rather than grease. There are 6 fires in total.
Step 4: Leave the shop and talk to Hades about the day. This final conversation completes "Yes, Your Lugubriousness."

How to confirm the quest is complete
The quest closes out the moment you finish the last conversation with Hades outside Scrooge's shop. You will see the Storybook Vale quest mark off as completed in your Quest log. If it does not finish, the most common reasons are missing fires at one of the three locations, an outfit that still fails the black-and-blue requirement, or not having reeled in the quest object from the orange ripples in The Bind.
With all three business attempts behind you, Hades walks away having learned a few hard lessons about customer service, and you wrap another quest in the Storybook Vale.
