Dark Arisen expands Dragon’s Dogma 2 with 25 new foes: 14 large enemies with segmented health bars and 11 smaller ones. The numbers below cover what each one has for Health, what damage types and debilitations it shrugs off, and what it can leave behind when it falls.

Several of these enemies appear in more than one version. Where the versions share a Health value, it is listed once; where they differ, the figures sit side by side. Only Health is shown, because the rest of an enemy’s numbers change from version to version.

Large enemies: Health, weaknesses and immunities

These are the big encounters with segmented health bars. A dash in the “Weak / resists” or “Immune to” column means no elemental preference or immunity is set for that enemy.

Smaller enemies: Health, weaknesses and immunities

The remaining additions are smaller monsters and two human-type foes. Beorcan and Straggler are humanoid opponents with no fixed Health figure, so plan around the rest of their behaviour rather than a set bar.

The Blob resists both magick and physical damage across the board, so there is no element or weapon type that cuts through it quickly. Expect a slower fight and rely on steady, sustained attacks.

Pawn badges tied to the new enemies

Dark Arisen adds 11 pawn badges, and some are named for its new monsters. The monster badges are named after the Blemmyae, Death, the Evil Eye, the Fimbl, the Gagana, the Lesser Demon, the Norgan Giant and the Snowfoot.

  • Dawnbringer
  • Death Reaper
  • Dogma Demolisher

  • Fimbl Flayer
  • Gagana Gorer

Where you meet the new enemies

Most of the headline foes appear through the Forsaken Dominion main quests. Over the course of that storyline you face the Fallen Dragon, Fimbl, Snowfoot, Norgan Giant, Gagana, Blemmyae, Lesser Demon, Willan Barbatos and Satanachia.

Fimbl is an ice dragon, which flips the usual expectation. Because it resists Ice and takes extra damage from Fire, bring fire-based weapons or skills and avoid leaning on ice during what can be a long encounter.

Satanachia is the late encounter, found deep in Niflhel, and its two versions have 427,330 and 619,000 Health. Its body takes normal damage from most elements, so target choice matters more than element choice against it.

The smaller additions turn up out in the world rather than as scripted fights. Expect to find Nokken, Direwolf, Aethon, Bugaboo, Ghoul and Beorcan while exploring, so having the right element ready before you commit to a loadout still pays off even away from the main quests.
