The strongest weapons in the Dark Arisen content do not drop ready to use. They come from Ancient Spoils, raw relic drops you carry to the settlement and appraise into finished gear with randomized stats and extra skills. The fastest way to build a stockpile is to stack a vocation drop-rate boost with a five-day timer, then farm two reliable sources of Lv 3 drops back to back.

Quick answer: Buy your vocation’s Spoils Spawn Rate Boost at an Obelisk of Benediction for 7,000 Dcp while holding the Sigil of Devotement, then hunt Colossal Yetis and Dragons and appraise the drops at Jiera.
What you need before farming Ancient Spoils
Line up these prerequisites first. Missing any one of them breaks the loop or wastes a run.
- An Obelisk of Benediction for your vocation, unlocked with an Offering Flame.
- 7,000 Discipline Points to activate the Spoils Spawn Rate Boost.
- The Sigil of Devotement, bought for 30 Norgan Ducats at the Norgandian Inn.
- The Eye of the Sphinx, which marks the Colossal Foes that carry spoils.
- Spoil appraisal unlocked by completing the Relics of the Past quest, which lets Jiera appraise your drops at the camp.

The Obelisk boost raises how often drops matching your vocation appear, and the Sigil multiplies how long that boost stays active. Set both up before you leave the settlement.

Hunt Colossal Yetis and pull their lodged swords
Colossal Yetis in the snowfields carry large swords lodged in their bodies. Pulling each blade free gives a guaranteed Lv 3 Ancient Spoils drop and strips a big slice off the boss’s health bar at the same time, so extraction is both your loot source and your main damage.

Hire pawns with the Straightforward inclination set to Thief. Their AI latches onto large foes and pulls the swords for you, so you can keep attacking while they harvest the drops.
Hunt Dragons for frost-imbued relics
The Dragons in the snowfields are the second source. They hand over guaranteed Lv 3 spoils that appraise into cold weapons with permanent frost imbuement and as many as four special skills, including the Polar Night blade and the Snowsquall duospear.
Mark them with the Eye of the Sphinx the same way you mark yetis, then clear them between yeti runs. Dragons resist fire, so bring physical hits or non-fire elements to speed the fights up rather than relying on burn damage.
These Colossal Foes run on a daily respawn timer. Sleeping one full in-game day at the settlement forces them to reappear, which is what turns a single setup into a repeatable loop.
Appraise Spoils with Jiera to get your weapons
Raw spoils are useless until appraised. A Lv 3, Ancient Bowstaff, for example, resolves into a bow, a staff, or a magickal bow, and the exact stats and skills roll at random each time.
Carry your haul back to the camp and speak to Jiera to appraise it. Each appraisal returns a finished relic with randomized stats, so collect several copies of the same spoils type and keep the best roll. When a weapon’s base numbers are close, favor the one whose special skills suit your build. If you already have the gear you want, you can sell spoils for Rift Crystals instead.
You know the loop worked when a new named relic appears in your inventory after appraisal, carrying stats and skills that were not shown on the raw spoils item.
Gear that raises your spoils per run
Two armor perks make every clear more efficient. Wear both while farming.
- Relic Hunter head armor, including the Superior Duskplume Headband, can grant one extra spoil whenever you collect spoils, but not when you loot treasure chests.
- Homing Instinct leg armor lets you use a Ferrystone to teleport straight out of a blizzard or whiteout zone the moment a fight ends, skipping the long walk back.
Relic weapons you can appraise from Lv 3 Spoils
These are the relics the Lv 3 drops resolve into, with the spoils type each one comes from. The figures below are the weapon’s base values before smithing.
| Weapon | Vocation | Base stat | Appraised from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Magick Archer | Magick 855 (895 Ancient) | Lv 3, Ancient Bowstaff | |
| Fighter | Strength 980 | Lv 3, Ancient Light Weaponry | |
| Mystic Spearhand | Strength 1050, Magick 1050 | Lv 3, Ancient Long Weaponry |
For the Magick Archer, Sanguine Radiance is a magickal bow that fires bolts with perfect accuracy. It is the rare appraisal result of the Altruist’s Bow, has 505 knockdown power, and costs 20,000 G to buy.
Polar Night is a Fighter weapon usable as a sword, mace, or shield. It is a variant of the Rimed Needle, wreathed in cold that leaves wounds untreatable, with a knockdown power of 550.
Snowsquall is a duospear for the Mystic Spearhand and a variant of the Gelid Branch. Its spikes radiate frost magick that rapidly enlarges the wounds it causes, and it carries a knockdown power of 540.
Because every appraisal is a fresh roll, the practical ceiling on your gear is simply how many Lv 3 spoils you can feed Jiera. Keep the five-day boost running, clear yetis and dragons on their respawn cycle, and rest one in-game day between passes to reset the Colossal Foes for the next haul.
