Dark Arisen expands the Arisen’s wardrobe with a large batch of new gear across every equipment slot. Each piece is tied to a set of vocations that can wear it, and each comes from a specific source, whether that is appraising spoils, smithing, buying with Wyrmslife Crystal, or opening a chest inside a proving ground.
Quick answer: Dark Arisen includes 52 head-armour options, 58 for the body, 55 for the legs, 19 cloaks, and 20 shields. Only Fighters can use shields. Other gear comes from sources including appraised spoils, Hal’s smithing, proving-ground chests, and quests.
Where the new gear comes from
Most new pieces trace back to one of a few systems. Relic armour starts as unappraised spoils that Jiera turns into a finished item. Each spoil type maps to one slot, so you always know what you are getting before you commit the Rift Crystals.
- Helm spoils become head armour.
- Plastron spoils become body armour.
- Greaves spoils become leg armour.
- Aegis spoils become a shield.
Ancient spoils follow the same process, but yield equipment with a powerful special skill. Hal produces the Smithed versions and most cloaks using his Manufacture list. You can find Lost Rites pieces in proving grounds throughout Vermund and Battahl, while a handful of items are available at the Bay Wayside Shrine for Wyrmslife Crystal.
Appraising spoils with Jiera
Collect unappraised spoils as you fight and complete quests. You will find Helm, Plastron, Greaves and Aegis spoils in five levels, plus their Ancient variants, which carry the special-skill rolls.
Bring the spoils to Jiera and select the option to appraise. Each spoil has a fixed Rift Crystal cost based on its level, and the appraisal menu lists the armour or shield you can obtain from it.
Confirm the appraisal to pay the cost. The spoil is consumed and the finished piece appears in your inventory, following the slot mapping above. You know it worked when the spoil leaves your bag and the named armour or shield takes its place.
Helm spoil reference
Appraisal costs rise with the spoil’s level. Helm spoils cost 1,000 G to buy, while Ancient Helm spoils cost 1,500 G.
