The Trident Bucket is a Legendary bucket hidden inside the Atlantis biome in Drain the Lake, sealed behind a large stone door that only opens after you solve a short water puzzle. Getting it depends on carrying the right bucket, running into a biome that spawns randomly, and reaching the chamber before another player does.
Quick answer: Equip the Jewel Bucket, reach a checkpoint past Checkpoint 5 where Atlantis spawns, drain the biome until the Jeweled Bowl appears, fill the bowl with the Jewel Bucket, then interact with the giant door and grab the Trident Bucket inside.

Get the Jewel Bucket first
Nothing in Atlantis works without the Jewel Bucket. It is the only bucket that can fill the Jeweled Bowl, and any other tool leaves the puzzle incomplete. Try the door with the wrong bucket and the game tells you your bucket is not worthy.
The Jewel Bucket comes from a specific run outcome rather than a shop or a craft. Instead of taking the standard phone ending at the Abyss, skip it and reach the Angler Fish area ending. Finishing that second Hidden Treasure ending unlocks the Jewel Bucket for your future runs.

Atlantis has no fixed location. The Atlantis update reshuffles the biome and checkpoint order on every run, so no two runs share the same sequence. The one rule that never changes is that the biome can only appear on a checkpoint past Checkpoint 5.
Because placement is randomized, it might turn up right after Checkpoint 5 or much deeper into the same run. Some runs will not generate it at all. There is no way to force the roll, so if it does not appear, start a fresh run and try again.
| Condition | Detail |
|---|---|
| Spawn point | No fixed location; randomized each run |
| Earliest appearance | Any checkpoint after Checkpoint 5 |
| Guaranteed? | No; some runs skip Atlantis entirely |
| Required bucket | Jewel Bucket |

How to open the Atlantis door
Note: Only one player needs to fill the bowl. If a teammate has already done it, everyone in the server can proceed to the chamber.

Claim the Trident Bucket and the Lost Trident badge
Inside the chamber, the Trident Bucket sits in the centre of the room. Walk up to it and hold E to collect it for free. Picking it up unlocks the Lost Trident badge, which pays out 150 Gems, so the puzzle is worth repeating whenever the biome shows up.
Only one player can claim the bucket per server session. The moment someone grabs it, the bucket disappears and no one else can take it. If you are running with friends, agree on who collects it before opening the door, then repeat the process on another server for the rest of the group.
Aside from the bucket and its badge, the chamber holds nothing else. You can look around, but there are no other gameplay rewards inside.

Why the door won’t open
Two things keep the door sealed. Either the Jeweled Bowl is not full yet, or you are not carrying the Jewel Bucket when you approach. Top up the bowl with the correct bucket and try the door again.
The ornate treasure chests scattered across Atlantis and inside the chamber are decoration only. They cannot be opened and hold no loot. Crafting materials such as Batteries and Generators come from the wooden treasure chests found elsewhere across the lake, and whoever opens one first claims what is inside.
Because the biome roll is random, reaching Atlantis can take several runs, but the path never changes once you are inside. Drain until the Jeweled Bowl surfaces, fill it with the Jewel Bucket, open the door, and the Trident Bucket plus its 150-Gem badge are yours.
