Dungeon Lootr: How to Get the Moria Blade and Unlock Spell Breaker

Every requirement, drop source, and boss mechanic behind the Exotic sword that turns you into a Spell Breaker.

Every requirement, drop source, and boss mechanic behind the Exotic sword that turns you into a Spell Breaker.

The Moria Blade is the Exotic weapon in Dungeon Lootr that unlocks the Spell Breaker class, a sword duelist modeled on Will Serfort from Wistoria: Wand and Sword. It comes from one place and one place only, and that place is a raid boss that punishes anyone who shows up underleveled.

Quick answer: Run “The First Test” raid against the Dark Professor on Hard or Impossible difficulty and hope for the rare Moria Blade drop, or spend Mage Coins in the Raid Shop to buy it outright. Bring a full party at level 175 — solo runs stall out because the boss heals itself.

What the Moria Blade does in Dungeon Lootr

The blade is classified as Exotic, and its in-game description reads: “A blade honed to sever the weave of magic itself. Transforms the wielder into the Spell Breaker, a duelist whose strikes cut clean through any enchantment.”

Equipping it swaps your kit over to the Spell Breaker class. That is the entire reason to chase it — the weapon is the class unlock, not just a stat upgrade.

Two ways to get the Moria Blade

Both routes start in the same place. Open the Menu from the hub, queue into “The First Test,” and pick your difficulty. Hard and Impossible are the two tiers that can drop the sword.

RouteWhat you need
Raid dropClear “The First Test” on Hard or Impossible. The Moria Blade is a rare drop, so expect repeat runs.
Raid ShopBuy it directly with Mage Coins earned from raid clears. No RNG involved.

The Raid Shop also stocks the Impossible Event Chest, a Mythic item priced at 175 Mage Coins. If your drop luck is bad, currency from repeat clears is the more predictable path.

Level and gear requirements before you queue

Attempting the Dark Professor at low level does not work, even on Normal. The damage check is real, and the fight drags long enough that undergeared players run out of resources before the boss runs out of health.

Level 175 is the cap, and it is effectively the entry ticket for Impossible. Hit the cap, upgrade your gear, and only then start farming for the blade. Extreme difficulty is soloable at max level, but the boss heals itself, which makes solo clears slow enough that they are not worth repeating.

How to farm the Dark Professor on Impossible

Reach level 175 and equip your best available gear. Anything below the cap turns Impossible into a wipe, and the self-healing means slow damage output is the same as no damage output.
Join the official Dungeon Lootr Discord and post in the looking-for channel. That channel is where max-level players assemble groups for Impossible runs, and a full party is what breaks through the boss’s healing.
Queue “The First Test” on Impossible with your group and focus damage on the boss. Sustained group damage is what shortens the fight enough to make repeat farming practical.

Group runs keep the hit counter climbing, which is how you out-pace the boss’s self-healing.
Watch for the phase transitions. The Dark Professor changes behavior between phases and fires off explosion attacks that can delete a player outright, so keep moving instead of standing in melee range through the animation.

Damage stacks up quickly in a coordinated party, but phase changes reset the pressure.
Repeat. The blade is a rare drop, so treat each clear as either a drop roll or a Mage Coin deposit toward the Raid Shop purchase.

Confirming the Spell Breaker unlock

You will know it worked when the Moria Blade shows up in your inventory with the Exotic tag and its “sever the weave of magic” description. Equipping it swaps your ability bar over to the Spell Breaker moveset.

Sinister Key is a buff mode rather than a single burst attack. It sharply raises attack speed for its duration, which is what gives the class its high-speed damage window.

Farming Spell Breaker class mastery

Once the class is unlocked, mastery is the next grind. Challenge Mode’s Double Dungeon is the efficient option, since it stacks more content into a single run than a standard dungeon clear.

While you are spending Mage Coins, the Raid Shop also sells the Might of Courage title. It is Exotic rarity, costs 5,000 Mage Coins, and grants +20 STR, +10 DEX, and +15 VIT.

The short version: the Moria Blade is gated behind level 175 and a boss built to defeat solo players. Cap out, find a party, and either the drop or the shop will get you there — the shop just gets you there on a schedule.
