Leontiel’s Set is one of two armor sets in the Tarnished Pack that you cannot buy, find in a chest, or pick from the character creation screen. It only comes off a body. Knight Leontiel invades in a single scripted spot in Caelid, and beating her hands over the entire outfit plus her greatsword in one go.
Quick answer: Kill Starscourge Radahn, fast travel back to the Starscourge Radahn Site of Grace, then ride north-northeast across the Wailing Dunes toward the cliffs and the War-Dead Catacombs. Torrent will vanish on his own, Knight Leontiel invades, and her death drops all five items.
Requirements before Knight Leontiel will invade
Two things gate this. First, the content itself: on Switch 2 it ships inside Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, while PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players need the separate Tarnished Pack DLC (€4.99 / £3.99 / $4.99) and the game updated to version 1.17 or higher. Without it, the invader simply does not exist in your world.
Second, Starscourge Radahn has to be dead. The invasion is tied to his arena after the festival ends, so you need to have finished the fight at Redmane Castle on Caelid’s southeast coast. Leontiel actually shows up as a summon sign for that boss fight too, which is a nice bit of setup for meeting her later.

Tip: if you overshoot into the catacombs area or veer too far east along the water, ride back toward the middle of the northern edge and try the line again. The trigger sits in the open ground before the cliffs, not inside the ruins.
Beating Knight Leontiel and confirming the drops
Leontiel fights like a duelist rather than a boss. She has no health bar padding, no phase change, and the arena is wide open sand, so a heavy weapon with a ranged Ash of War does the job quickly. Nothing about the encounter is missable on a timer either, so you can walk away, heal, and re-trigger it later if it goes badly.
You will know it worked when “INVADER VANQUISHED” fills the screen and a reward list appears immediately after. The five items are granted straight into your inventory rather than dropped as a pickup on the ground, so there is nothing to hunt for in the sand.

| Item | Slot |
|---|---|
| Leontiel’s Greatsword | Weapon (Greatsword) |
| Leontiel’s Hat | Head |
| Leontiel’s Armor | Chest |
| Leontiel’s Leather Gloves | Arms |
| Leontiel’s Boots | Legs |
This invasion is the only source for any of it. There is no merchant who stocks the armor and no second corpse pickup elsewhere in the Lands Between.
Leontiel’s Greatsword stats and the Muleta skill
The weapon is a Somber-tier unique greatsword, so it upgrades on Somber Smithing Stones and cannot take a different Ash of War. What makes it worth carrying is Muleta, a skill built around the red cloth Leontiel holds in her off hand.
| Attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| Weapon type | Greatsword |
| Skill | Muleta |
| Weight | 9.5 |
| Physical attack | 130 |
| Critical | 100 |
| Strength scaling | D |
| Dexterity scaling | D |
Muleta sends you into a fast sidestep around the enemy, left or right, with roughly 20 invincibility frames baked into the movement. It functions a lot like Ash of War: Blind Spot, and it flows straight into a follow-up strike, so you can bait an attack with the cape and answer it with a charged swing without ever letting go of the offensive.

Equipping Leontiel’s Set
Head into Equipment from the main menu and swap each of the four slots in turn, starting with the head. The armor is medium weight with even, unremarkable defenses across the board and no passive effect attached, which makes it a straightforward mid-game option rather than a build-defining one.

The look is the real draw. Red trousers, a fitted breastplate, a wide-brimmed hat, and the muleta itself give the whole thing an unmistakable bullfighter silhouette, which is why plenty of players have taken to calling it the Toreador set.
If the invasion doesn’t trigger
There are only a few reasons nothing happens when you ride north. Radahn is still alive, in which case the arena is still a boss arena and the trigger is dormant. The Tarnished Pack is not installed or the game is running below version 1.17, so none of the new invaders spawn at all. Or you simply have not crossed the trigger line yet, which is easy to miss if you hug the eastern water instead of heading up the middle of the dunes.
Ride the same line again and watch Torrent. The moment he vanishes without input, the fight is about to start, and everything you came for is roughly ninety seconds away.
