Enshrined Obsession in The Blood of Dawnwalker (Full Quest Walkthrough)

Reach Breslauer’s attic in Svartrau City, sweep the desk with Focus Mode, and claim the Map of Wayside Shrines.

Enshrined Obsession is a short investigation quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker that exists for one reason: it hands you the Map of Wayside Shrines, which fills in the hidden shrine locations you need for Destroyed Shrines: Hidden & Safe. There is no combat, no dialogue tree, and no branching choice. It is a climb, a door, and one object on a desk.

Quick answer: Travel to the Curious House marker in the Neustadt district of Svartrau City, climb the rooftops to the balcony, enter the attic through the balcony door, then use Focus Mode and examine the drawings and maps on the desk to pick up the Map of Wayside Shrines.

The Curious House line also covers Faith and Punishment, Working Her Magic, and Weaves of Rebellion. Enshrined Obsession is the entry point, and it is the one that unlocks the shrine map, so it is worth doing early if you plan to lean on shrines for fast travel.

How to find Breslauer’s house in Svartrau City

The lead-in objective is “Find Breslauer’s house,” and it comes from Destroyed Shrines: Hidden & Safe. Open your journal, track that quest, then switch to the city map so you can see exactly where you are heading before you start climbing.

Open the map of Svartrau City and look at the Neustadt district. The building you want is flagged as the Curious House, and that marker is the one the quest is pointing you toward.
Make your way to the streets directly beneath the marker. The house sits among tightly packed rooftops, so give yourself room to look up and pick out the balcony before you commit to a route.
Climb up onto the rooftops as Coen and traverse across them until you are level with the balcony on Breslauer’s house. The rooftops are the intended approach here, not a shortcut.

Ignore any door that returns a “Locked” prompt when you interact with it. Those are dead ends for this quest, and hammering on them will not advance the objective.

Investigate the attic using Focus Mode

Stepping through the balcony door into the attic is what actually starts Enshrined Obsession. The quest appears in your journal with a single objective, “Investigate the attic using Focus Mode,” and the room is small enough that you can clear it in under a minute.

Activate Focus Mode as soon as you are inside. It highlights loot and objective items, and the attic is cluttered enough that you can walk past the important object without it.
Sweep the room and clear out the loot that lights up. None of it is required for the objective, but there is no reason to leave it behind once you have made the climb.
Go to the desk and examine the drawings and maps spread across it. Breslauer’s notebook is filled with shrine sketches and calculations, and reading through the material is what completes the investigation.

Take the Map of Wayside Shrines from the desk. This is the item the whole quest exists to deliver, and picking it up marks the shrine locations you were sent here to uncover.

How to confirm the quest advanced

Two things happen the moment the Map of Wayside Shrines lands in your inventory. A “Quest Updated” notification appears for Destroyed Shrines: Hidden & Safe, and the hidden shrine locations are written onto your map. If you saw the update pop but want to be certain, open the journal and check that the shrine quest now lists new objectives instead of the old “Find Breslauer’s house” line.

If nothing updates, the cause is almost always one of two things. Either you have not turned on Focus Mode, which the objective explicitly asks for, or you have looted the attic without interacting with the drawings and maps on the desk specifically. The desk is the only interaction that matters.

Note: shrines double as fast-travel points on the hand-drawn map, so the payoff from this quest is not only a journal entry. Every location the map reveals is somewhere you can then travel back to.

Because time advances every time you take on work in The Blood of Dawnwalker, a quest this short and this useful is an easy one to slot in while you are already moving through Svartrau City. Clear the attic once, and the rest of the Curious House thread is waiting in the same building.
