Every Harpoon Gun in Fisch: Locations, Costs, and Stats

Where to find, buy, or craft all seven Harpoon Guns, plus how to equip them and clear the Trident Striker Ritual.

Where to find, buy, or craft all seven Harpoon Guns, plus how to equip them and clear the Trident Striker Ritual.

Harpoon Guns are a ranged fishing tool in Fisch built for catching Roaming Fish underwater. Instead of casting a line, you fire a harpoon at a fish, hook it, and finish a Pull minigame to reel it in. There are seven of them scattered across the map, each with its own stats and its own way of being unlocked.

Quick answer: Six Harpoon Guns are bought at set locations (Roslit Bay, Mushgrove Swamp, Boreal Pines, Cursed Isle, Crystal Cove, and Poseidon’s Armory), while the Relic Piercer is crafted at the Ancient Archives.

The two starter guns: Steady and Fungal

The Steady Harpoon Gun is the cheapest and easiest to grab. It sits near the Fishing Rod merchant in Roslit Bay, directly across from the Roslit Blacksmith, at GPS coordinates -1479, 133, 791. It costs C$9,000, which makes it the natural first pickup if you only want to try harpoon fishing.

The Fungal Harpoon Gun is in Mushgrove Swamp. Head toward the Alligator Swamp near the center of the island, then turn left to find it leaning against a tree at 2658, 131, -835. It costs C$155,000, but with Power 10 and a 5,000 KG cap it is the weakest of the group, so it is mostly worth buying if you are aiming to collect every gun.

Bestiary-locked guns: Frost Biter and Great Dream Waker

The Frost Biter is stored inside an isolated cabin in Boreal Pines. Climb to the center of the area to reach the house at roughly 21463, 234, 3922. The gun rests on a table inside, and you can purchase it for C$270,000 once you have finished the Boreal Pines Bestiary.

The Great Dream Waker is the trickiest to reach because it lives on the Cursed Isle, which only appears during Foggy, Autumn, or Summer nights. You can wait for night or speed up the cycle with a Sundial. Once there, look near the broken wooden boards or a small broken storage room around 1871, 135, 1280.5. It costs C$1,500,000 and unlocks after you clear 75% of the Cursed Isle Bestiary.

Crystal Crasher: the most expensive gun

The Crystal Crasher carries the highest price tag at C$2,400,000. It sits near the large Pink Crystal at the top of the Crystal Cove area, around GPS 1352, -612, 2400. Reaching it means climbing, and falling onto any of the crystals in the area can kill your character, so move carefully as you approach.

Trident Striker and the Trident Striker Ritual

The Trident Striker is the only gun that requires a ritual, but with Power 50 and a 50,000 KG cap it is worth chasing early. You buy it for C$175,000 from Poseidon’s Armory, which sits behind the Trident Vault. To open that vault, you first need to complete the Trident Striker Ritual in Desolate Deep, the same spot where the Trident Rod is found.

Own at least one Harpoon Gun. You cannot start the ritual without a gun to fire, so buy the Steady Harpoon Gun first if you have nothing else.
Travel to Desolate Deep and dive down toward the Trident Temple area. Use your Harpoon Gun to strike every one of the glowing designated targets.
Once all targets are hit, the nearby pedestals begin to glow. Place three Enchant Relics on the pedestals to unlock the Trident Vault, then buy the Trident Striker inside.

You know the ritual worked when the pedestals light up after your final shot and the passage to the Trident Vault opens. If nothing glows, you have missed one of the targets, so recheck the area and fire at any you skipped.

Relic Piercer: the crafted Harpoon Gun

The Relic Piercer cannot be bought anywhere. You build it at the Ancient Archives once you have gathered every material. Its stats match the Trident Striker, with Power 50, a 20-stud range, a 2.5s reload, and a 50,000 KG cap.

  • 3 Moonstone — a rare drop from Meteors at Ancient Isle.
  • 1 Meg’s Spine with the Marrow Mutation — you need the Marrow Rod to obtain the mutated version.
  • 2 Scrap Metal — catchable around the Ocean with the Training Rod.

With all three in hand, head to the Ancient Archives and craft the gun. Note that without the Marrow Rod you cannot roll the Marrow Mutation on Meg’s Spine, so that rod is a hard requirement for this recipe.

How to equip and use a Harpoon Gun

Harpoon Guns are their own equipment type, so a new gun will not show up among your fishing rods. There are no level requirements to use one.

Buy or craft any Harpoon Gun, then open your Equipment Bag.
Click the drop-down menu in the top-left corner of the Equipment Bag and select the Harpoon Gun category. Equip the gun you want to use.
Head to the open waters and dive underwater to find Roaming Fish. Aim at one and left-click to fire your harpoon.
After the harpoon hooks a fish, click Pull when the prompt appears, similar to the Shake mechanic, and keep pulling until the minigame finishes. The catch is only complete once the Pull sequence ends, so stay ready as soon as your shot connects.
How To equip Harpoon Guns in Fisch

Once you have the Steady Harpoon Gun in hand, the fastest path to a lasting setup is completing the Trident Striker Ritual for the Trident Striker, since it delivers top-tier stats for a modest C$175,000.
