Buying in AION 2 is split across several very different counters. Some take plain Kina, some only accept a token you earn from a specific activity, and a few run on Quna bought with real money. Knowing which shop uses which currency saves you from hoarding the wrong thing.

Quick answer: Shops split into town NPC merchants (Kina), activity-based trade shops (earned tokens like Abyss Points), and cash shops (Quna). Each shop accepts only its own currency.

Town NPC merchants (Kina)

These merchants sit at your faction’s home bases and in the towns, and every one of them trades in Kina. Most are tied to a single crafting profession and stock the processing materials that craft needs. You can find them across Verteron, Altgard, and nearby hubs.

MerchantMainly sells
BlacksmithOrichalcum Solvent and hammers for melee weapon crafting and Balaur Horns
ArmorsmithOrichalcum Solvent and Dragon Leather Softeners for armor and Balaur Leather

The General Goods merchant also buys your Silentiums and other junk for bound Kina, so it doubles as a sell point. Morph candies made from the essences you buy turn you into a specific monster for 15 minutes once eaten.

Command Shop prices and weekly caps

The Command Shop deserves its own look because its scrolls carry weekly purchase limits that reset. Command: Verteron is the Elyos version and Command: Altgard is the Asmodian one, and you can buy up to 12 per account each week. The Abyss zones sell higher-tier scrolls through the Latesran Root and Abyss command rows.

Command scrollPriceWeekly limit
Command: Verteron / Altgard (Bound)15,000 Kina12 per account
Latesran Root Command (Bound)15,000 Kina5 per account
Latesran Root Command: Veteran (Bound)37,500 Kina5 per account
Latesran Root Command: Elite (Bound)75,000 Kina5 per account
Latesran Root Command: Special Mission (Bound)150,000 Kina5 per account
Abyss Command: Middle (Bound)37,500–150,000 Kina2–5 per account

Each scroll grants a short quest with a list of possible rewards, and you can re-roll the quest until you get an outcome worth doing.

Trade shops that run on earned tokens

These counters never take Kina. Each one is bolted onto a game mode and only accepts the token that mode drops, so your spending here is capped by how much of that activity you run.

PvP Trade Shop (Abyss, Arena, Battlefield)Abyss Points, Silver Medal of MeritAbyssal manastones, Stigma Shards, Azphel Daevanion Crystals, wings, skins
Nightmare Trade ShopPhantasmal FragmentEnhance consumables, Daevanion Crystals, Stigma Shards, Soul Codex, wings, skins, statues
Festival ShopCenturyroot TokenConsumables, growth materials, wings, artworks, pets, skins
Pass ShopDaeva Pass Shop CoinSpecial skins and pets with no stat bonuses
Season ShopOath CoinConsumables, growth items, gathering materials, a wing, skins

The PvP Trade Shop has the same inventory in each of the three PvP menus. You spend Abyss Points there, earned by defeating players or mobs in the Abyss, competing in the Arena, or submitting items through Supply Requests. Clearing Nightmare bosses yields Phantasmal Fragments; the Shugo Festival gives Centuryroot Tokens; the premium Daeva Pass track awards Daeva Pass Shop Coins; and Season Missions grant Oath Coins.

On both the Festival and Nightmare shops, Daevanion Crystals and Stigma Shards give the biggest early boost to Combat Power, so prioritize those before skins or wings.

Cash shops

Cash shops involve real money at some point, whether directly or through a currency you bought earlier. They mostly sell appearance items and convenience goods rather than raw power.

Event ShopEvent bundleSeason 1 Starter bundle only, at launch

A2 Mileage points stack up whenever you spend real money on items or Quna, so that shop is a slow drip rather than something you buy into directly. The Tsenka Merchant is where you grab the Atreian Pledge of Allegiance to add character slots.

Special shops: Black Cloud and Wind Breeze

Both of these sit inside the cash shop interface but only ask for Kina. You reach them from the shop tab, with the Black Cloud Merchant tab sitting just above the Atelier.

Black Cloud Merchant

Stock here rotates every hour and leans on skins, Theostones, and pets. Refreshing the list early costs extra Kina, so most players check it on the hour and buy what they actually want.

Wind Breeze Merchant

This one is the most useful of the pair because it carries nearly everything the town crafting merchants sell, minus the Command and Morph stock, plus convenience goods like Odyle Energy, Soul Crystals, Resurrection Spiritstones, Instant Clear Tickets, and Pet Auto-Loot Vouchers. Many of its goods carry weekly or monthly caps per character or per server.

The Wind Breeze Merchant only opens for players holding the Special Quai Membership. That membership runs 30 days, applies account-wide, and also grants Remote Storage, the Quna Exchange, the Market, and login queue priority.

The membership raises some caps as well. Your Odyle Energy ceiling is normally 560, and the membership lifts it to 840, while the maximum Shugo Festival Reward Keys you can hold changes to 21.

One quirk to plan around is Quna bought from the Quna Shop. It sits as Pending Quna for 72 hours before it becomes Paid Quna, and during that window it cannot be traded in the Exchange for Kina. If you intend to convert it, buy early and wait out the hold.
