Every Summon Heroes Unit Ranked for PvE, PvP, and Tournaments

Summon Heroes on Roblox features over 40 units spread across four rarity tiers — Mythic, Legendary, Epic, and Rare — and each one performs differently depending on whether you're grinding Story stages, battling in PvP arenas, or competing in automated Tournaments. Knowing which characters deserve your Gems and upgrade materials is the difference between smooth progression and wasted resources.

Quick answer: The strongest all-around units right now are Divine, Reaper, Seraph, Emperor, B-4:R B.E.T., Matriarch, and Ranger. They dominate across PvE, PvP, and Tournament modes.

How Rankings Work in Summon Heroes

Character strength in Summon Heroes hinges on several interconnected factors. Base ATK scales with rarity, but HP, SPD, and cooldowns are unique per unit. A tank like B-4:R B.E.T. needs massive HP to absorb hits, while a nuke like Divine needs raw burst output and favorable cooldowns. Abilities matter enormously, too — some characters perform best with their ability toggled off, which creates a problem in Tournament mode where abilities are always active.

The three game modes reward fundamentally different playstyles. PvE favors sustained DPS and summoner units whose minions can absorb damage from regular mobs and bosses. PvP flips that dynamic: summoned minions get one-shot by enemy players, so high base HP and burst damage become king. Tournament mode automates battles with abilities forced on, meaning characters whose abilities actively hurt their DPS (like Seraph) drop in value compared to units that benefit from ability uptime (like Emperor).

Summon Heroes Combined Tier List (April 2026)

TierUnits
SSDivine, Reaper, Seraph, Emperor, B-4:R B.E.T., Matriarch, Ranger
SKitsune Mage, Technomancer, Sage, Sniper, Demon Knight, Jester, Laser Cyborg
ABear Tamer, Construct, Abyss Lord, Specter, Mermaid

CThief, Spellblade, Outlaw, Dragoon, Demon Hunter, Cyber DJ, Captain, Street Rat, Ice Mage
DVampire, Swordsman, Ninja, Fire Mage, Deckhand, Bandit, Archer, Academy Witch

SS-tier units perform equally well across all three game modes. The S tier contains powerful specialists that excel in at least two modes. Everything below A tier is either a stepping stone for early progression or too niche to justify long-term investment.

SS Tier — Mythic Dominance and One Legendary Standout

All six Mythic characters land in the top tier, joined by the Legendary Ranger. Every one of these units warrants priority summoning and full upgrades.

UnitRarityRoleATK / HP / SPDAbility Toggle
DivineMythicRanged, Nuke19.5 / 117 / 12ON
ReaperMythicRanged, Summon, AoE19.5 / 97.5 / 13ON

MatriarchMythicHybrid, Summon, DPS19.5 / 146.2 / 12OFF
RangerLegendaryRanged, DPS, Nuke16.2 / 113.4 / 12ON

B-4:R B.E.T. holds the highest HP in the entire game at 292.5, making it the undisputed best tank. It also deals respectable damage for a tank, which is why it's a meta pick in every single mode. Pair it with Seraph — the highest single-target DPS unit in Summon Heroes — and you have a frontline-backline combo that handles bosses and PvP alike.

Reaper is the premier farming unit. Massive AoE damage and summoned ghosts that absorb incoming hits compensate for his relatively low 97.5 HP. He clears PvE waves faster than almost anyone else and remains dangerous in PvP thanks to crowd-control pressure.

Divine delivers the most devastating single-target burst in the game, making her the top Tournament pick and a boss-killing specialist. The trade-off is a long charge time on her skill, during which she's completely vulnerable — a tank like B-4:R B.E.T. is almost mandatory to protect her.

Matriarch spawns melee minions on basic attack and ranged minions through her ability. Those melee summons are tanky with high DPS, making her the PvE queen. However, her ranged minions are weaker, and since Tournament forces abilities on, she underperforms there.

Ranger is the only Legendary unit to crack SS tier. Low cooldowns on his ability push his damage output to Mythic-competitive levels when positioned correctly, though his 113.4 HP makes him a glass cannon that needs protection.

⚠️
Seraph's ability is extremely weak and actually lowers her DPS. Keep it toggled off in PvE and PvP. In Tournament mode, where abilities are forced on, she drops significantly in effectiveness.

S Tier — Legendary Powerhouses

UnitRoleATK / HP / SPDKey Strength
Kitsune MageHybrid, Tank, Nuke16.2 / 210.6 / 14Burst damage + tank-level HP
Demon KnightMelee, Tank, DPS16.2 / 226.8 / 10Second-highest Legendary HP, strong basic attacks
JesterRanged, DPS16.2 / 105.3 / 10Highest single-target DPS among Legendaries
SniperRanged, DPS, Nuke16.2 / 64.8 / 9Extreme range, boss-killing specialist
Laser CyborgRanged, Nuke, AoE16.2 / 129.6 / 10Piercing lasers, devastating in stacked PvP
TechnomancerRanged, DPS, AoE16.2 / 129.6 / 10Equally effective at single-target and AoE
SageRanged, DPS16.2 / 113.4 / 13Massive burst at close range

Kitsune Mage combines one of the best burst abilities in the game with 210.6 HP — enough to rival dedicated tanks. She's equally viable in PvP and PvE, though she demands precise manual positioning to maximize damage. Not the most beginner-friendly pick.

Demon Knight sits at 226.8 HP, the highest among Legendaries. His basic attack DPS matches many dedicated damage dealers, but his ability is weak enough that you'll want it toggled off. That hurts him in Tournament where abilities are always active.

Laser Cyborg deserves special mention: a full team of Laser Cyborgs is currently one of the most broken strategies in the April 2026 meta. Both attacks pierce through enemies at long range, and stacking multiple copies can wipe entire PvP teams. The main drawback is a 30-second cooldown on the Special Attack.

Jester has homing attacks that give him the highest single-target DPS of any Legendary unit, making him a PvE staple. His 105.3 HP is a liability in PvP, though — a few melee hits and he's gone. Like Seraph, his weak ability drags him down in Tournament.

A Tier — Strong Mid-Game Picks and a Rare Gem

UnitRarityRoleATK / HP / SPDWhy A Tier
Bear TamerRareSummon, Tank, DPS10 / 100 / 10Extremely tanky summons dominate PvE
ConstructEpicMelee, Tank, DPS12.65 / 189.7 / 10Best Epic tank, solid in PvP and PvE
Abyss LordLegendaryMelee, Tank, AoE16.2 / 202.5 / 9High HP with strong AoE, but very slow
SpecterEpicMelee, Tank, DPS12.65 / 177.1 / 13Top Epic melee DPS with great HP
MermaidEpicRanged, DPS12.65 / 88.5 / 11Best Epic ranged DPS, homing attacks

Bear Tamer is the biggest overperformer relative to rarity in the entire game. Despite being a Rare unit, his summoned bears are absurdly tanky and deal solid damage, making him a PvE powerhouse that remains useful even in late-game Story stages. PvE enemies simply cannot deal with the constant stream of bears. He falls off in PvP where opponents can target him directly — his 100 HP makes him an easy kill.

Specter and Construct are the two Epic melee units worth investing in. Specter edges ahead with higher speed (13) and better single-target DPS, while Construct offers slightly more HP at 189.7. Both serve as excellent placeholders until you pull Legendary or Mythic tanks.

Mermaid is the clear best ranged DPS at Epic rarity. Homing attacks with strong range make her reliable in both PvE and PvP, but she absolutely needs a tank or summoner in front of her — 88.5 HP means she folds quickly without protection.

B Tier — Situational and Early-Game Value

B-tier units fill specific roles but get outclassed by higher-tier alternatives in most situations.

Tank Commander has the second-highest HP in the game at 251.1, but her AI moves her to the backline to use ranged attacks, completely abandoning her tank role unless you manually reposition her. Framerate is the fastest unit in Summon Heroes (18 SPD) but has the lowest DPS of any Legendary — he rushes ahead of allies and dies before anyone can support him.

Wind Samurai, Slime Summoner, Necromancer, and Dual Wielder are all serviceable Epic units for early and mid-game progression. Wind Samurai is the most beginner-friendly of the bunch thanks to consistent performance across all modes. Slime Summoner's tanky slimes help in early PvE, while Necromancer's skeletons offer decent DPS but die quickly. Dual Wielder hits hard with basic attacks but is generally outperformed by Specter.

C and D Tiers — Replace When Possible

C-tier units have narrow windows of usefulness. Demon Hunter has piercing attacks that can one-shot stacked PvE enemies, and Thief offers decent AoE melee DPS, but neither scales into late-game content. Street Rat is the tankiest Rare unit at 160 HP and can carry early Story stages, but he's completely outclassed once you obtain Epic tanks. Ice Mage has a surprisingly strong ability that rivals some Epic units, making her the best Rare ranged option for early progression.

D-tier units should be replaced at the earliest opportunity. Academy Witch is widely considered the worst unit in Summon Heroes — she's classified as ranged but needs to be close to deal damage, yet her AI moves her away from enemies, making her nearly useless. Vampire is the worst Epic unit, failing to deliver meaningful single-target DPS despite being designed for exactly that role. Bandit, Archer, Ninja, Swordsman, Deckhand, and Fire Mage are all Rare units that serve as temporary filler at best.

Best Units by Game Mode

ModeTop Picks
PvEDivine, Matriarch, Reaper, Seraph, Emperor, B-4:R B.E.T., Ranger, Jester
PvPB-4:R B.E.T., Seraph, Divine, Demon Knight, Ranger, Laser Cyborg
TournamentB-4:R B.E.T., Emperor, Divine, Sniper, Ranger, Laser Cyborg
BeginnersMermaid, Bear Tamer, Slime Summoner, Specter, Wind Samurai, Necromancer, Construct

Notice how B-4:R B.E.T. appears in every mode's top picks — it's the single most versatile unit in the game. If you're deciding where to spend Gems, prioritize pulling for B-4:R B.E.T. first, then target Reaper or Divine depending on whether you need PvE farming speed or PvP burst.

How to Get New Units

New units come from the Summon gacha system. In the lobby, walk into the Summon portal to access the gacha, which costs Gems to roll. Banners rotate every 30 minutes, so save your Gems for banners that feature SS or S-tier units rather than spending them on low-value rolls. You earn Gems by clearing Story stages, winning PvP and Tournament matches, and claiming UniDex rewards.

💎
Save Gems for Mythic-featured banners. Rolling on random banners hoping for low-rarity units is almost never worth the cost — Epic and Rare characters are easy to obtain naturally through progression.

The meta will shift as new characters and balance patches arrive, but the core principle stays the same: invest in units that perform well across multiple modes rather than hyper-specialists that only shine in one. B-4:R B.E.T., Reaper, and Divine currently sit at the top of that hierarchy, and they're likely to remain strong picks for the foreseeable future.
