Materials are the raw ingredients behind every potion in Wizard Alchemy on Roblox. Each one carries a Magic Power value that feeds directly into brewing, and the rarer the material, the stronger the spells it can produce. You collect them by attacking world resources like bushes and rocks, defeating enemies and bosses, and opening chests scattered across each island.
Quick answer: For the highest Magic Power drops, farm the Big Bird's Nest (it spawns once per hour at the top of the Departure Isle mountain) along with Mutant enemies and the Dwarf King Boss, then sell anything you do not need to Lombart in Departure Isle for gold.
How Magic Power and brewing work in Wizard Alchemy
Every material has a Magic Power score, and every potion has a minimum Magic value you must reach to brew it. You have five slots in the alchemy menu, and the combined Magic Power of the materials you load in decides which potion you qualify for.
Reaching a potion's required value gives you a percentage chance to craft it. Pushing your total as high as possible without crossing into the next potion's threshold gives the best odds for the one you want. Overshoot it, and you start rolling for the higher potion instead, which lowers your chance at the current one.
Elemental Shards work differently. They contribute zero Magic Power and instead add a flat +50% chance to brew a potion of their element, as long as your total Magic Power still qualifies for that spell. The last step of any brew is a quick-time event, and your accuracy there sets the potion's Purity, which controls its damage and other stats.
Note: The strongest Departure Isle potion is the Dark-element Night Wraith (129 Magic), best targeted with Furnace Cores plus Dark Shards. In the Sea of Oblivion, Solar Flare (245 Magic) is the top potion and brews reliably from five Lava Behemoth Remains.

Sea of Oblivion materials list (World 2)
World 2 adds Orc-themed enemies and volcanic resources. Lava Behemoth Remains is the standout here at 65 Magic Power, since you need it for the Solar Flare potion.

Druid event materials
The Druid event adds its own pool of materials from themed enemies, online rewards, and the event shop. Spirit Leaves act as the event currency, and the high-end drops climb well past anything on the base islands.

Best farming targets and drop rates
The fastest route to high-tier materials is hitting Mutant enemies, the Dwarf King Boss, and the Big Bird's Nest. The nest is not a fight in the usual sense, so you can stand near it and auto-cast until it breaks, but it only spawns once per hour with no in-game alert. Stop attacking it and its health regenerates to full, so keep your spells going until it drops.
These are the confirmed drop chances for the most valuable farm targets:
| Material | Source and drop rate |
|---|---|
| Furnace Core | Mutant Warhammer Dwarf 43%, Mutant Archer Goblin 14%, Dwarf King Boss 14% |
| Copper Earring | Mutant Archer Goblin 43%, Mutant Warhammer Dwarf 43%, Dwarf King Boss 43%, Archer Goblin 13% |
| Flame Crest | Mutant Warhammer Dwarf 43%, Dwarf King Boss 43%, Mutant Archer Goblin 43%, Warhammer Dwarf 13% |
| Goblin Finger | Knife Goblin 75%, Archer Goblin 50% |
| Dwarf Emblem | Pickaxe Dwarf 75%, Warhammer Dwarf 50% |
| Golden Tooth | Warhammer Dwarf 38%, Pickaxe Dwarf 25% |
| Goblin Bone | Archer Goblin 38%, Knife Goblin 25% |
| Iron Armour | Mutant Iron Axe Orc 60%, Axe Orc 40% |
| Golem Core | Lava Behemoth 60%, Mutant Iron Axe Orc 30% |
| Lava Behemoth Remains | Lava Behemoth 20%, Mutant Iron Axe Orc 10% |
For Dark and Light Shards, Mutant enemies are the most efficient target because they can drop both. Ice, Fire, Earth, and Wind Shards come mostly from chests, and several shards can also be redeemed through active codes inside the game.
What materials are used for
Materials serve three purposes. The main one is potion brewing, where their combined Magic Power and any matching Shard decide what spell you craft. They also satisfy NPC fetch quests that hand back rewards and gold. Finally, any surplus can be sold to Lombart in Departure Isle to free inventory space and earn currency for upgrades.
You'll know a brew succeeded when the finished potion appears in your inventory with a set rarity and a Purity value from the quick-time event. If a craft fails, it is because your total Magic Power did not reach the potion's minimum, or your Magic Power qualified you for a different potion tier than the one you intended. Adjust the materials in your five slots until your total sits just at or above the target potion's requirement, then add the matching Shard for the best odds.
