FischFright 3 started in Fisch on October 17th, 2026, at 16:00 UTC. It brings six limited Halloween rods: the Boglin Branch, Eldritch Rod, Webweaver Rod, Doomseeker Rod, Dutchman’s Rod, and Omniscient Spinecaster. You can’t buy any of them outright with Treats. Each one is locked behind a questline, a cauldron track, or a ritual chain on the event island, Caustic Hallow. No end date has been announced, so assume every rod disappears when the event does.
Quick answer: Four rods come from NPC questlines in Caustic Hallow. The Dutchman’s Rod and Omniscient Spinecaster come from the Dutchman’s Blessing Ritual and Omniscient Ritual, which unlock in sequence.
FischFright 3 rods: Unlock source and cost
| Rod | Starts with | Core requirement | Treats needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Boglin Branch | Younger Goblin | Goblin quests, 3 Boglin parts | None |
| Eldritch Rod | Beatrix’s Cauldron | Hex Energy Level 11 | None |
| Webweaver Rod | Webby Winston | Three cavern quests | 2,000 |
| Doomseeker Rod | Doomseeker NPC | Frightful Pool catches | Optional 3,000 totem |
| Dutchman’s Rod | Ritual circle NPC | Dutchman’s Blessing Ritual | 25,000+ |
| Omniscient Spinecaster | Ritual circle NPC | Omniscient Ritual | 10,000+ |
The two ritual rods depend on progress from the other four. Ritual offerings include Witch’s Ingredients, Hex Stages from Beatrix’s Cauldron, and mutated fish tied to the Boglin, Doomsekkar, and Dutchman’s Curse mutations. In practice, the questline rods are the groundwork for the ritual rods.
How to reach Caustic Hallow from Moosewood
After you arrive, the Flying Dutchman keeps flying over Caustic Hallow. Its merchant sells the Frightful Pool Totem, Davy’s Rose, Omniscient Souls, and Dutchman’s Grasp. If you’re trying to find it, look up at the sky.
Goblin quests and Witch’s Ingredients
Goblins supply the Witch’s Ingredients you need for the Boglin Branch, the Eldritch Rod, and several rituals. Every 5 minutes, three goblins spawn on one island. A server alert such as “Goblins have spawned at Castaway Cliffs!” announces it, and the alert includes a Navigate button that points you there.
- Moosewood, Roslit Bay, Forsaken Shores, Mushgrove, Scoria Reach
- Ancient Isle, Lost Jungle, Terrapin, Snowcap Island
- Skycrest, Sunstone, Castaway Cliffs, Everturn Forest
Talk to a goblin to get a short task. Examples include typing “Goblins Rule!” in chat three times, jumping 50 times, dancing, catching fish, guessing holidays, or answering trivia. Finishing the task gives you an ingredient, such as a Giant Mushroom or Dirty Candy Corn. Goblins with a green outline are Easy difficulty.
You have 15 minutes from the moment the goblins spawn to finish a task. Goblins normally leave after 5 minutes, but one will stay as long as its objective timer is still running.
How to get the Boglin Branch
The Younger Goblin stands beside Beatrix’s Cauldron in Caustic Hallow under a green “Event” marker. You can work on all five objectives in his quest log at once.
- Finish 3 Goblin quests on Normal difficulty or above; Easy goblin quests don’t qualify.
- Bring 10 of any Witch’s Ingredients to the Younger Goblin
- Obtain a Boglin Skull
- Obtain a Boglin Fang (some text calls it a Boglin Twig)
- Obtain Boglin Wraps
The three Boglin parts are rare drops from Hard difficulty goblin quests. Plan on running quite a few spawns before you have all three. When every counter in the quest log is full, return to the Younger Goblin to claim the rod.
How to get the Eldritch Rod from Beatrix’s Cauldron
The Eldritch Rod and Boglin Branch both require Witch’s Ingredients, so gather supplies for the two rods together. You can obtain ingredients by completing goblin tasks or trick-or-treating.
Hex Energy also counts toward the ritual chain, because some rituals require specific Hex Stages. That means every ingredient you put in the cauldron moves you closer to the ritual rods as well.
How to get the Webweaver Rod in Webridden Cavern
Beneath Caustic Hallow, Webridden Cavern is reachable by gliding directly down. Inside, speak with the event NPC Webby Winston to begin his quests; all three can be completed at the same time.
- With the Candy Bucket equipped, trick-or-treat at 16 separate houses in Caustic Hallow. Returning to a door you’ve already visited won’t count.
- Catch 15 Cobweb Cod in the cavern’s toxic green water.
- Land 10 fish with the Webbed mutation inside the cavern.
If you knock without the Candy Bucket equipped, your character says, “I need to hold out a Candy Bucket.” When all three quests are done, go back to Winston and buy the rod for 2,000 Treats. It shows up in your inventory and in your Rod Journal.
Some houses are haunted. For example, House 745 shows “House 745 feels haunted… knock if you dare.” and starts a “Catch the Ghost!” mini-game. Pick Trick whenever you’ve identified a haunted house.
How to get the Doomseeker Rod through Frightful Pools
Look for the Doomseeker NPC along the path just outside Webridden Cavern, near the Halloween graveyard. The game uses the spelling Doomsekkar in certain spots, including the unlock message. His questline requires the following:
- Catch 100 fish in total from Frightful Pools.
- Land 50 fish in a row at Frightful Pools without breaking the streak.
- Catch the haunted spirit at a haunted house in Caustic Hallow.
Frightful Pools are temporary glowing pools that appear in ocean water on their own. You can also force one to spawn with a Frightful Pool Totem. The merchant on the Flying Dutchman’s upper deck sells it for 3,000 Treats, and only one is in stock. Pools scramble your controls, which makes the 50-fish streak much harder than it would be in calm water.
Wait for a server notice announcing that a house in Caustic Hallow is haunted; its number will glow green. Put on the Candy Bucket, knock, select either dialogue option, then keep your cursor over the ghost until you catch it. You’ll then be teleported to a separate area, from which the Magic Mirror returns you.
Return to Doomseeker once everything is done. The game announces the unlock, and you receive the rod plus 3,000 Treats. Those Treats pay for the totem if you bought one.
Dutchman’s Rod and Omniscient Spinecaster: The ritual chain
Both ritual rods come from the ritual circle in Caustic Hallow. The NPC there opens the Rituals menu, which lists each ritual’s requirements. Rituals unlock from top to bottom, and each one costs 100 Treats to start.
| Order | Ritual | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Vexing Ritual | Random Witch Ingredient |
| 2 | Scary Relic Ritual | Grim, Vile, or Doomed Relic |
| 3 | Haunted Ritual | Haunt on a random house |
| 4 | Jack-o-Moon Ritual | Summons a Jack-o-Moon |
| 5 | Boglin Ritual | 3 random Goblins |
| 6 | Dutchman’s Blessing Ritual | Dutchman’s Rod |
| 7 | Enhanced Boglin Ritual | 3 Ghoul or 3 Eldritch Goblins |
| 8 | Haunted Cemetery Ritual | Chance at Zombie Nessie |
| 9 | Eldritch Ritual | Eldritch Relic plus a random relic |
| 10 | Omniscient Ritual | Omniscient Spinecaster |
Awakening the Skeletal Hands
Both rod rituals also require Awakened Skeletal Hands. The hands are located around the ritual area, and each one needs its own item before the awaken prompt appears.
| Hand | Item | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Azael’s Grasp | Davy’s Rose | Dutchman Merchant, 5,000 Treats |
| Xylar’s Grasp | Ethereal Rose | Ghost mini-game, Dullahan Rod Quest |
| Korvath’s Grasp | Fable Rose | Dullahan Quest at the Mansion |
| Malakor’s Grasp | Gourdman’s Rose | Pete Quest in Caustic Hallow |
| Kaelith’s Grasp | Dark Art Skull | Hard difficulty goblin quest |
Each player can buy only one Davy’s Rose. Set aside Treats for it before you spend them on other things.
Dutchman’s Blessing Ritual requirements
To open this ritual, you need the Boglin Ritual completed, Hex Stage 3, and three Awakened Skeletal Hands. The offerings are listed below.
| Offering | Pedestal | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Doomed Jagged Bone | Jack-o’-Lantern | Fishing |
| Vile Poltergeist Perch | Jack-o’-Lantern | Fishing |
| Grim Skeleton Sturgeon | Jack-o’-Lantern | Fishing |
| Boglin Mummy Mackerel | Jack-o’-Lantern | Fishing, not Shiny/Sparkling |
| Eldritch Corpse Cod | Jack-o’-Lantern | Fishing |
| Dutchman’s Grasp | Jack-o’-Lantern | Dutchman Merchant, 25,000 Treats |
| Coffin | Jack-o’-Lantern | Event item |
| Grim, Vile, Doom Skull | Skeletal Hand | Frightful Pools |
Each skull’s color matches the color of the Frightful Pool it came from. Skulls left over from FischFright 2 aren’t accepted, so only 2026 FischFright Skulls will work.
Omniscient Ritual requirements
The Omniscient Ritual requires the Eldritch Ritual completed, Hex Stage 5, and all five Skeletal Hands awakened. It takes twelve offerings in total.
| Pedestal | Offerings |
|---|---|
| Jack-o’-Lantern | Grim, Vile, Doomed, and Eldritch mutated Jagged Bone |
| Jack-o’-Lantern | Zombie Nessie, Plush Nessie, Dark Art Skull |
| Skeletal Hand | Boglin mutated Jagged Bone (not Shiny/Sparkling) |
| Skeletal Hand | Doomsekkar and Dutchman’s Curse mutated Jagged Bone |
| Skeletal Hand | Omniscient Souls, Omniscient Bone |
Omniscient Souls cost 10,000 Treats from the Dutchman Merchant, and only one is in stock. The Haunted Cemetery Ritual, two steps earlier in the chain, is where you get your chance at Zombie Nessie.
Neither rod ritual accepts Shiny or Sparkling Boglin fish. Retain plain copies, and hold on to every mutated Jagged Bones until you have completed both rituals.
FischFright 3 rod stats and passives
| Stat | Eldritch Rod | Webweaver Rod | Doomseeker Rod |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lure Speed | 20% | 15% | 100% |
| Luck | 140% | 100% | 275% |
| Control | 0.15 | 0.12 | 0.2 |
| Resilience | 25% | 10% | -666% |
| Max Kg | 15,000kg | 8,500kg | 6,666kg |
| Stat | Boglin Branch | Dutchman’s Rod | Omniscient Spinecaster |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lure Speed | 80% | 100% | 120% |
| Luck | 180% | 100% | 300% |
| Control | 0.05 | 0.1 | 0.05 |
| Resilience | 20% | 10% | 30% |
| Max Kg | 550,000kg | Infinite | Infinite |
| Progress Speed | None | None | +50% |
Webweaver Rod has Spider Web as its passive. While you fish, spiders show up roughly every 10 seconds and give nearby fish the Webbed mutation.
Doomseeker Rod has Pumpkin Bombs. Small bombs appear during the fishing minigame, and you gain extra Progress Speed when the fish moves toward one. The passive can also apply the Doomsekkar mutation, which you need for the Omniscient Ritual. Its negative Resilience is real, not a typo, so think twice before using it for boss fishing.
Omniscient Spinecaster has two forms that alternate. In Offensive form, Progress rises faster, while catch rate and pulling strength fall. Defensive form reverses those trade-offs: catches happen more often and pulls are stronger, but progress slows.
For the quickest progress, tackle the Boglin Branch, Eldritch Rod, and the early rituals together; they all depend on goblin ingredients and Hex Energy. During the five-minute intervals separating goblin spawns, advance Webby Winston’s cavern quests and Doomseeker’s pool counters. Save your Treats for the two ritual rods, which are the most expensive. Dutchman’s Grasp, Omniscient Souls, Davy’s Rose, and the Webweaver purchase together require well over 40,000. The secret vault in the Scarecrow’s Maze can help: appease the grumpy scarecrows at the maze’s dead ends to unlock it and claim free caskets and Treats.
