Fisch: How to Get Ollie the Otter Companion

Reach Terrapin Island, feed the roaming otter a small fish, and it joins your companion inventory.

Reach Terrapin Island, feed the roaming otter a small fish, and it joins your companion inventory.

Ollie the Otter is a companion added to Fisch in the minor update on July 11, 2026, and getting it comes down to one interaction on Terrapin Island. You don’t buy it, quest for it, or trade for it. You find it swimming near the shore and let it eat a small fish out of your hand.

Quick answer: Travel to Terrapin Island at coordinates -200, 130, 1925, equip a small fish such as an Anchovy, then jump in and swim next to the otter until it eats the fish and drops into your inventory.

What Ollie the Otter is and what it does

Ollie the Otter looks like a small brown otter with a cream-colored snout and belly, tiny rounded ears, black button eyes, and a tongue poking out. Once it’s in your inventory, you can equip it as a companion.

While equipped, Ollie occasionally turns up bonus items when you land a catch. In practice, that means free extra rewards on top of the fish you reel in, so it earns its keep during any normal fishing session.

The only consumable you really need is a small fish to feed it. Keep an Anchovy or similar small catch equipped so you can offer it the moment you find the otter.

How to get Ollie the Otter

Head to Terrapin Island, a large region to the south-west of Moosewood Village. The GPS coordinates are -200, 130, 1925, so set them if you want a direct route.
Circle the island and watch the water near the shoreline. Ollie swims close to the coast and most often appears around the rocky areas, so keep looping the edges until it shows up.
Equip a small fish like an Anchovy, then jump into the water near the otter and swim alongside it. Stay close, and after a short while it will eat the fish and join your inventory as a companion.

How to confirm it worked

You’ll know the interaction succeeded when Ollie stops swimming away and the companion lands in your inventory. From there, equip it and keep fishing. If you land catches and see extra bonus items appear, the companion is active and doing its job.

If the otter isn’t around when you arrive, it hasn’t spawned in your spot yet. Keep circling Terrapin Island, focus on the rocky coastline, and make sure a small fish is equipped before you swim up to it.
