Fisch: How to Get the Sightless Oracle Harpoon in The Deep

Finish both Blind Oracle quests, land 15 perfect catches at Gloomy Crevice, and beat the Monstrous Cusk to claim this auto-locking harpoon.

Finish both Blind Oracle quests, land 15 perfect catches at Gloomy Crevice, and beat the Monstrous Cusk to claim this auto-locking harpoon.

The Sightless Oracle is a harpoon gun added with The Deep expansion in Fisch. You earn it by finishing a two-stage quest handed out by The Blind Oracle, a hermit NPC tucked away in the deep city. The reward is a shrine relic whose shots lock onto nearby prey on their own and hit harder with each accurate strike.

Quick answer: Speak to The Blind Oracle at the back of the main area, land 15 perfect catches in a row at Gloomy Crevice for “The Deep: Unseen Guidance,” then perfect-catch a Monstrous Cusk and turn in 5 each of Radiant Prism Scale, Abyssal Bio-Fluid, Hardened Chitin, Refined Scrap, and Ancient Bone for “The Deep: Eyeless Truth” to receive the Sightless Oracle.

What you need before starting

The Sightless Oracle quest lives entirely inside The Deep, so you need access to that underwater area and its deeper zones. The second stage sends you into Gloomy Crevice and into a fight with the Monstrous Cusk, both of which require the right traversal gear.

RequirementWhy it matters
Access to The DeepThe Blind Oracle NPC and all quest objectives are located here.
Survey Device MK II (Light Module)Gloomy Crevice drops visibility to zero without it.
A reliable harpoon gunThe Trident Striker is well suited to catching the Monstrous Cusk.

Find The Blind Oracle NPC

The Blind Oracle sits at the back of the main area in The Deep. Head straight through from the central hub toward the rear of the map to reach him. Using the Flygler glider cuts down the travel time. Interact with him to open the first quest, “The Deep: Unseen Guidance.”

Part 1: The Deep – Unseen Guidance

Travel down to Gloomy Crevice with your Survey Device MK II Light Module active so you can actually see the fish and the minigame prompts in the dark fissure.

Land 15 perfect catches in a row. The streak has to stay unbroken, so a single failed catch resets your progress, and you start counting again.
Watch the minigame carefully and avoid hitting the purple circles. Let those fade out on their own, and only react to the correct prompts to keep every catch perfect.

Once the streak reaches 15, return to The Blind Oracle and speak to him again. This unlocks the second quest, “The Deep: Eyeless Truth.”

Part 2: The Deep – Eyeless Truth

The second stage combines a boss catch with a material haul. You need one perfect catch of the Monstrous Cusk plus five of each listed material.

Perfect-catch the Monstrous Cusk. The Trident Harpoon handles this fight well, so equip it before you engage the beast.

How to confirm you unlocked it

After you hand in the Monstrous Cusk catch and all 25 materials, the Sightless Oracle drops straight into your inventory. Open the Equipment menu, use the dropdown at the top-left to switch to Harpoon Guns, and the Sightless Oracle should appear in your collection. Equip it and test a shot near a fish to see the automatic lock-on trigger, which confirms the harpoon is active and working.

If the turn-in does not complete, the most common causes are a broken perfect-catch streak during Part 1 or missing even one unit of a required material in Part 2. Both stages check for exact conditions, so recount your materials and confirm the Monstrous Cusk registered as a perfect catch before returning to The Blind Oracle.
