Fisch: How to Get the Titanium Rod and All Its Materials

Everything you need to craft the Titanium Rod, from The Deep access to the Shaft, Reel, and Refined Scraps.

Everything you need to craft the Titanium Rod, from The Deep access to the Shaft, Reel, and Refined Scraps.

The Titanium Rod is a craftable fishing rod added in The Deep update, and it sits among the strongest rods that the update introduced. It has infinite Max Kg, a 0.3 control stat, a built-in slash passive, and a 20% chance to apply the Titanium mutation. Building it means clearing quests across The Deep and hauling several crafting materials to a single anvil.

Quick answer: Reach Level 250, gather 1 Titanium Shaft, 1 Titanium Reel, 5 Refined Scraps, and 200,000 C$, then craft the rod at the Crafting Anvil inside the Ancient Archives.

Titanium Rod crafting requirements

Before anything else, confirm you meet the level gate and have room to collect the parts. The recipe is fixed and will not appear at the anvil until you hit the required level.

Reach The Deep first

Every crafting material comes from The Deep, an underwater biome accessed from the far north of the map. You need a Deep Survey Device to explore it.

Travel to the northernmost side of the map and locate the boat sitting above coordinates -194, 130, -4669.
Talk to the NPC on the boat to receive the Deep Survey Device, then swim beneath the boat to descend into The Deep.

Get the Titanium Shaft (Sledge’s questline)

The Titanium Shaft is the longest material to earn. It comes from Sledge, an NPC found near the IP-4 beacon in the Outer Deep. Sledge hands you five quests in sequence, and finishing the last one awards the Shaft.

QuestObjectives
1. Restoring IP-4Deliver 25 Chitin Plate, 20 Salvage Scrap, 1 Refined Scrap, 1 Hardened Chitin, and install the Reinforced Housing in Sector IP-4
2. Scrap ExtractionCatch 1 Broken Flashlight and 1 Bent Harpoon
3. Armored ShellsCatch 3 Big or larger Devil Scorpionfish and deliver 15 Chitin Plate
4. Heavy MetallurgyCatch 1 Crushed Diving Helmet and deliver 30 Chitin Plate
5. Master Smith’s HonorDeliver 5 Hardened Chitin and 5 Refined Scrap

The Devil Scorpionfish in Quest 3 spawn in the Lower Deep during nighttime clear weather, so plan that catch around those conditions.

Get the Titanium Reel (Forge Hand Marcus)

The Titanium Reel is a single quest reward, making it far quicker than the Shaft. Forge Hand Marcus is the NPC who gives it.

Head to the Bounty Tracker NPC, then swim in the opposite direction toward the white structure to find Forge Hand Marcus.
Accept the Bearing Reinforcement quest and deliver 30 Chitin Plate and 12 Salvage Scrap to receive the Titanium Reel.

Get 5 Refined Scraps

Refined Scraps are salvaged from Crushed Diving Helmets, and they carry a roughly 10% drop chance per helmet. They also drop while fishing in the Outer Deep. Keep in mind that Sledge’s questline consumes Refined Scraps too, so farm extra beyond the five needed for the final craft.

Craft the Titanium Rod at the Ancient Archives

With all parts and cash in hand, the final step is the Crafting Anvil inside the Ancient Archives.

Travel to the Ancient Archives and interact with the Crafting Anvil there.
Select the Titanium Rod recipe and confirm the craft. The rod appears once you own the Titanium Shaft, Titanium Reel, 5 Refined Scraps, 200,000 C$, and are at Level 250.

If the recipe is greyed out or missing, the usual causes are being under Level 250, lacking the full 200,000 C$, or being short a material because the Shaft questline spent your spare Refined Scraps.

Titanium Rod stats

The payoff is a rod with infinite weight capacity and strong control, which makes it a reliable pick for heavy fish and AFK grinding.

StatValue
Lure Speed100%
Luck180%
Control0.3 (+30%)
Resilience75%
Max KgInfinite
Durability200
Line Distance120m

On top of the raw numbers, the rod has a 20% chance to apply the Titanium mutation (9× multiplier), a +30% Progress Speed passive, and a slash passive that has a 35% chance every 0.5 seconds to deal 5% Progress and stun the fish for 0.15 seconds. It can also fish in Lava, Noxious Fluid, and Brine pools. Pairing it with the Heron enchantment pushes the control bar even wider, which is why it stands out as one of the update’s best rods for long grinding sessions.
