Fish It Update Lands May 30, With Admin Abuse Expected First

Fish It players have a new weekend update coming on Saturday, May 30, at 9:00 PM ET, with a community-favorite admin event likely to run shortly before it.

The developers have not shared what the update will include yet. The studio releases Fish It updates on Saturdays, and these drops typically arrive alongside an "admin abuse" session that boosts luck and spawns rare fish. As of May 28, the update time is set, but the contents remain unannounced.

Release time: Saturday, May 30 at 9:00 PM ET (Sunday, May 31 at 1:00 AM UTC)

The update launches at the same moment worldwide. Here is when it goes live in major regions:

US (PT)Sat, May 30 — 6:00 PM
UK (BST)Sun, May 31 — 2:00 AM

Fish It admin abuse start time

Admin abuse is a live event where the developers join servers and change the game's rules for a short window. During these sessions, server luck climbs, rare fish appear across the map, and special weather effects can trigger. The effects apply to every server, including private ones, so you do not need to switch lobbies to take part.

No official start time for the next admin abuse has been confirmed. If it follows the usual pattern of beginning roughly one hour before the update, it would start around 8:00 PM ET on May 30. Expected regional timings:

RegionStart time
US (ET)Sat, May 30 — 8:00 PM
US (PT)Sat, May 30 — 5:00 PM
UK (BST)Sun, May 31 — 1:00 AM
India (IST)Sun, May 31 — 5:30 AM
Australia (AET)Sun, May 31 — 10:00 AM

Session length varies from week to week, often running up to 30 minutes. Logging in early is the safest way to avoid missing it, especially since servers fill quickly when a crowd rushes in.

What recent Fish It updates added

Past updates give a sense of the scale these drops can reach. The Esoteric Update introduced a secret fish called SECRET Scare at a 1 in 3,000,000 catch rate, plus the Thin Armor Shark (1 in 300,000) at Esoteric Depths. It also added new boats, including a limited-stock Mega Hovercraft and a Burger Boat, a free-to-play boat quest rewarding the Aura Farmer Boat, five new rod skins, and a Friend Luck system that grants +10% luck for up to five friends in your server.

The earlier Coral Reefs Update added two secret sharks, the Monster Shark and Eerie Shark, alongside ten new fish in Coral Reefs and cutscenes for catching Legendary, Mythic, and SECRET fish. The Fisherman Island update remade the former Stingray Shores area and brought the Orca (1 in 1,500,000) and Crystal Crab (1 in 750,000) secret fish.

How to prepare for the event

To make the most of the window, hop into the game before the listed times and keep inventory space free for new catches. Updates frequently bring fresh codes, so checking for redeemable rewards near launch is worth the effort. A private server can help you sidestep loading errors when public servers get crowded.

With the time locked in but the patch notes still under wraps, the May 30 drop should reveal its full contents only when servers go live.
