Fishing Hole Simulator: How to Catch Mythic and Secret Fish Worth Billions

The luck stacking, rod tiers, mutation events, and cash multipliers that turn a starter pond into billion-dollar catches.

The luck stacking, rod tiers, mutation events, and cash multipliers that turn a starter pond into billion-dollar catches.

Fishing Hole Simulator starts you with a wooden rod and a puddle-sized hole that spits out Shiners worth a few hundred dollars. The fish that sell for hundreds of millions or tens of billions sit at the far end of the same loop, and they are gated by one number more than anything else: your total luck multiplier. Everything else, from rod weight limits to rebirth cash boosts, exists to let you reach that number faster and actually land what shows up.

Quick answer: Mythic and Secret fish only bite once total luck is stacked into the thousands of percent. Max Hole Size luck, buy Super Lucky and VIP, then layer Luck and Mega Potions on top.

What the top-rarity fish are actually worth

Value climbs sharply with rarity, and the jump from Legendary to Mythic to Secret is where the numbers stop looking like a normal simulator economy. Weight matters too, since a Big or Giant version of the same species sells for far more than a base-weight one.

FishRaritySale value
DreadjawSecret$23.9 billion
Emerald BassSecret$7.7 billion
Nebula FinMythic$6.6 billion
RiftjawMythic$563 million
Glass FishMythic$240 million
Goblin SharkLegendary$82 million
Great White SharkLegendary$34 million
ToadfishLegendary$18 million
Stormtrail (Hacker)Epic$6 million

For scale, an Epic Sailfish at 288.8kg sells for $139,779 and an Epic Pufferfish for $69,564. Those are strong mid-game catches, and they are still four orders of magnitude below a Secret. Nebula Fin is a night catch, so leaving auto-fishing running through the island’s night cycle matters once your luck is high.

Luck stacking: the only thing that spawns Mythic and Secret fish

Luck is additive across several systems, and the totals get absurd. The base pond’s Hole Size upgrades alone can be pushed to 450% luck, and with potions and permanent boosts layered on, the displayed total passes 11,000%. That is the range where black silhouettes start rising out of the water.

  • Hole Size upgrades — the first one costs $250 for +10% luck; later tiers run into the hundreds of millions.
  • Super Lucky gamepass — permanent 2x luck from the Exclusive Store.
  • VIP gamepass — +20% luck and +20% cash.
  • Luck Potions and Mega Potions — stackable and timed; hours can be bought at once.
  • Robux hole upgrades — extra luck on top of the cash-purchased tiers.

Potions are the volatile part. They expire, so refresh them right before a mutation event rather than burning them on ordinary base fishing. Rebirthing also resets your cash, so top up potions after the rebirth, not before it.

Early on, none of this exists yet. The loop is simply cast, reel, sell at the stall, and dump every dollar into Hole Size. Two fish sell for around $320 at the start, which is enough for that first $250 upgrade, and the Stone Rod at $1,000 follows quickly after.

Rod tiers, weight limits, and reel speed

Luck decides what bites. The rod decides whether you can pull it in and how fast. Weight capacity is the hard gate, since a Great White Shark weighing 1,325.1kg will not come out of the water on a rod capped at 600kg.

RodCostWeightReel speed
Golden Rod$2,50040kgx1.22
Tree Rod$25,000150kgx1.52
Knight Rod$150,000300kgx1.70
Magma Rod$650,000600kgx1.90
Magic Rod$4.8 million2,000kgx2.45
Candy Cane Rod$26 million5,000kgx3.20
Hacker Rod$320 million20,000kgx4.75
Jungle Rod$10 trillion320,000kgx11.00

The Jungle Rod is the end point, and it changes the feel of the game entirely. At x11.00 reel speed, fish come in almost the instant they hook, which turns auto-fishing into a stream of dozens of massive catches per minute. Getting there with cash alone takes an enormous grind, so the Exclusive Store’s Super Better Rod offers exist to buy the Bluesteel, Candy, Lava, Cosmic, and Toy rods with Robux and skip ahead.

Server Hole mutation events

Periodically a global announcement fires and the Server Hole opens in the center of the island. Everyone on the server can fish it while a timer runs, and the pool applies a mutation to what you pull out.

  • Huge Mutation — catches come out as Huge variants, such as a Huge Rare Travifish worth close to $500,000.
  • Big Mutation — upsized versions of the normal pool, useful for filling Big Index slots.
  • Hacker event — the whole server turns Matrix green and produces Hacker-tier fish like the Stormtrail.

Treat these windows as the payoff for your potion stack. Sell your inventory before the event so your backpack is clear, refresh Mega Potions, then run to the center pond and fish the entire timer out. A single Hacker event session can be the difference between a $18 million sale and a $24 billion one.

Cash multipliers: rebirths, Sell Value, and gamepasses

Rebirth wipes your cash in exchange for a permanent multiplier on everything you sell afterwards. The thresholds are low compared to what you will be earning later, so rebirthing early and often is cheap.

2ndx1.2
3rdx1.3
Later tiersup to x1.8

The Sell Value base upgrade stacks on top of that and can be pushed past 300%. On the Robux side, Double Cash doubles every sale, Infinite Backpack removes the inventory cap so auto-fishing never stalls, and Speedy Fisher doubles reeling speed. Infinite Backpack is the one that changes how you play, because it lets you bank over a billion dollars of unsold fish and cash out in a single sale.

Auto Fish and Auto Sell settings

Auto Fish and Auto Sell are toggled in the settings menu, and they carry the whole grind once your luck is high. Left running at the base pond, auto-fishing pulls in everything from Meatfish and Starfish to a Big Grassy Seadragon or a second Beluga Sturgeon without any input.

Set Auto-Sell to Rare and above so Common and Uncommon catches convert to cash immediately, leaving your backpack free for the fish that are actually worth holding.

The Mummy’s trials for the Egyptian Rod

The Mummy NPC stands at the desert pyramids and hands out a chain of trials that unlocks the exclusive Egyptian Rod. The requirements are handed out one at a time, and you have to return to him to collect the next one.

Talk to The Mummy at the pyramids to open the trial chain. He gives you the first requirement immediately.
Catch a Legendary fish. With high luck running, anything in the Goblin Shark or Great White Shark range clears this on its own.
Buy the Bone Rod for $11 million from the Rods stall. Purchasing it is the whole requirement, so you do not need to keep it equipped afterwards.
Catch a fish during a Hacker event. Wait for the server to turn green, land anything at all, then report back to The Mummy.

How to confirm a Mythic or Secret catch landed

The tell comes before the catch. Secret fish surface as a large black silhouette in the pond, which is how the Dreadjaw and the pickle-shaped Emerald Bass announce themselves. If you see one of those shapes, stop whatever you are doing and let the reel finish.

After the catch, two things update. The Best Catch wall at your base replaces its record whenever a new heaviest fish comes in, so a 1,325.1kg shark or a 288.8kg Sailfish will visibly take the slot. The Index also fills in the matching silhouette, and it is split into Normal, Night, Big, Huge, and Hacker categories, so the same species can occupy several slots depending on how you caught it. If the Index entry is still blacked out, that variant has not been recorded yet.

From there the loop just repeats at a larger scale. Sell the haul, sink it back into Hole Size luck and Sell Value, rebirth when the multiplier is worth the reset, and time your potion stack so it peaks the moment the Server Hole opens.
