Fortnite Build-A-Wrixel: How to Unlock the Ruby Style at The Battlewoods

Where to find all four of Ruby's Wrixel parts and confirm the style unlock.

Where to find all four of Ruby’s Wrixel parts and confirm the style unlock.

The Ruby style for the Wrixel outfit is locked behind a single Build-A-Wrixel task that sends you to The Battlewoods to grab four scattered parts. All four sit inside the same named location, so one landing and a quick sweep of the area is enough to finish it in a single match.

Quick answer: Land at The Battlewoods and collect the four Wrixel (Ruby’s) parts — Torso, Legs, Hat, and Accessory. Reaching 4/4 immediately unlocks the Ruby edit style for Wrixel.

What you need before starting

The Ruby style is a Wrixel customization option, so you first need the Wrixel outfit itself. Wrixel is an Epic outfit in the Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass and part of the Build-A-Ville set. You unlock it by owning the Battle Pass and reaching Level 10, after which the various part-collection tasks become available.

Ruby is one of 15 additional Wrixel styles tied to in-game progress rather than the pass itself. Once unlocked, its blocks can be mixed and matched with any other Wrixel styles you own.

All four Wrixel (Ruby’s) part locations at The Battlewoods

Every part is a small collectible box placed around The Battlewoods, mostly clustered along the river canal that runs through the middle of the point of interest. The pickup order does not matter, so route them however suits your drop. Landing on the southern side puts you closest to the first box.

PartWhere to find it
TorsoSouthern side of the POI, tucked under the elevated walkway near a tree.
LegsHead north to the grassy patch beside a large tree near the street.
HatInside the small utility building with yellow doors on the west side of the river.
AccessoryUnder the bridge stairs on the eastern side of the river canal, near the water.

Tip: A vehicle makes the run faster, since the Hat and Accessory sit on opposite banks of the canal. There are also enemy players and bots active in the area, so expect the occasional fight while you collect.

How to confirm the Ruby style unlocked

The quest tracker counts your progress from 0/4 up to 4/4 as you grab each box. When the last part is collected, a QUEST COMPLETE banner appears on screen and the Ruby style is added to your Wrixel outfit.

Back in the lobby, open Wrixel in your Locker and check the style options. Ruby will show as a selectable option, including its Base (Ruby) blocks along with Ruby Hair and Ruby Cap accessory pieces you can swap onto the outfit.

If the parts aren’t showing up

The most common reason the task won’t progress is not having the Wrixel outfit yet. Reach Battle Pass Level 10 and unlock Wrixel first, otherwise the part boxes won’t count toward the Ruby style.

Progress carries between matches, so you don’t have to grab all four parts in one life. If you’re eliminated partway through, your collected parts stay banked and you can finish the rest in a later match at The Battlewoods.
