Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Loot Pool: New, Unvaulted, and Vaulted Weapons

Every gun and item added, returned, and locked away as Runners reshapes the Battle Royale meta.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, named Runners, launched on June 6, 2026 after the Shattered live event, and it came with a near-total reset of the loot pool. The whole map flipped to Shattered Coast, the meta leans hard on movement, and the weapons you carried last season are mostly gone. If you want to land smart on day one, you need to know what is new, what came back, and what got locked away.

Quick answer: The season adds four new guns (Extending Focus Shotgun, Surgical Burst Rifle, Chaos Exploder Rifle, Lancehead Pistol) plus the Seven Sliders movement boots, brings back a small set of older items like the Striker Pump and Stinger SMG, and vaults nearly the entire previous loot pool.

New weapons and items in Chapter 7 Season 3

The new lineup is short, but each piece is built to define the next few months of fights. Here is what each one does and where it fits.

Weapon / ItemWhat it does
Extending Focus ShotgunA three-round shotgun that plays like two old guns at once. From the hip it acts like a slightly slower Gatekeeper, and aiming down sights tightens the spread for surprising mid-range damage.
Chaos Exploder RifleA heavy assault rifle that fires explosive rounds with a small splash radius. It is highly accurate and best used to punish squads that bunch up behind cover. It was strong enough at launch to draw an early nerf.
Surgical Burst RifleA cleaned-up take on the classic Chapter 1 Burst AR. Low recoil, minimal damage falloff, and very accurate, which makes it a favorite for sharp aimers at range.
Lancehead PistolJohn Wick’s sidearm, carrying a large 21-round magazine. It throws the spent mag for 35 damage on reload, and unlike most modern Fortnite pistols it is semi-auto, so you fire one shot per trigger pull.
Seven SlidersMovement boots that turn every kneeslide into a powerslide. Aiming a weapon mid-slide slows time for a clean shot while keeping you moving, and the jets can launch you skyward. They overheat with heavy use, which drains durability and can make you trip, so cool them down by sliding on water.

A solid early-game loadout pairs the Extending Focus Shotgun, the Chaos Exploder Rifle, and any SMG. Later in a match, the Lancehead Pistol becomes a strong pickup at higher rarities, and the Seven Sliders are worth grabbing for repositioning, especially in Zero Build.

Note: A second movement item, Shock Rocks, arrives later this season. Crushing one lets you perform three midair leaps.

Unvaulted and returning weapons

The returning set is small, and it makes some unusual picks, pulling back two older Chapter shotguns alongside familiar SMGs and pistols. These are the items that are available again this season.

Weapon / ItemRole
Maven Auto ShotgunFull-auto shotgun with a high fire rate and strong damage.
Striker Pump ShotgunHigh-damage pump-action shotgun.
Chaos Reloader ShotgunOne-shot shotgun that reloads itself while stowed.
Stinger SMGFast-firing SMG built for close-range spray.
Flex SMGSlower-firing SMG with decent range.
Ranger PistolFull-auto suppressed pistol, strong up close.
Hunting RifleBolt-action rifle that hits for massive single-shot damage.
Business TurretDeployable turret for area control.

Healing and utility also returned, including the Chug Jug and Overdrive Grenades. Keys are back too, but they now open new vaults tied to the Sprite mechanic rather than the old lockboxes.

Boss mythics to collect

Beyond the standard loot pool, new boss NPCs roam the map and drop upgraded mythic gear when you take them down.

Mythic Reacher Extending ShotgunThe Skeletor boss
Mythic Lancehead PistolThe John Wick NPC

The loot pool is smaller than usual, but that concentration is the point. With most of last season’s arsenal vaulted, the new shotgun, the two rifles, and John Wick’s pistol will shape close and mid-range fights, while the Seven Sliders change how you move between them. Expect Epic to keep tuning the standouts, including the Chaos Exploder Rifle, as the season runs on.
