Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Override Pass: All Skins, Cost and How to Get It

Every outfit in the Override Pass, what it costs in V-Bucks, and the two ways to unlock it.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 arrives with a Battle Pass called the Override Pass, and it leans hard into the season’s gaming-legends theme. Eight outfits sit on the reward track, including one full crossover character, plus a sidekick and the usual pile of gliders, pickaxes, and styles.

Quick answer: The Override Pass costs 800 V-Bucks (roughly $8.99) and can be bought from the Passes tab once Chapter 7 Season 4 goes live on August 20, 2026 at 6AM ET. A Fortnite Crew subscription at $11.99 per month includes it at no extra cost.

Override Pass cost and payment options

There are three ways to end up with the pass in your account, and they are not priced the same. Buying it outright with V-Bucks is the cheapest single transaction. Fortnite Crew costs more per month but bundles the pass with other perks. Gifting works differently again, because passes cannot be sent using a V-Bucks balance.

Note: if you cancel a Fortnite Crew subscription, you keep every cosmetic you already unlocked. What you lose, once the billing period runs out, is the ability to keep claiming new rewards from the pass.

How to get the Override Pass in-game

Launch Fortnite after the season goes live and let the client finish updating. The Override Pass will not appear before the new season is running on your platform.
Open the Passes section from the home tab. Multiple passes live here at once, so pick the Override Pass rather than the Music Pass sitting beside it.
Choose your payment route. Either spend 800 V-Bucks from your balance or subscribe to Fortnite Crew, which grants the pass as part of the subscription.

You’ll know the purchase went through when the Override Pass tab stops showing the buy prompt and starts showing your reward track instead. If the pass still looks locked, the most common causes are a client that has not fully updated to the new season, or a Crew subscription that has not finished processing.

All 8 Override Pass skins

The lineup mixes original Fortnite characters with characters clearly built as nods to other games. Here is the full roster on the track.

SkinWhat it is
K1tty W1nsAn upbeat character seen playing a handheld console while the rest of the cast panics in the Override trailer
PhantomA military-styled soldier outfit, the most conventional design of the eight
Grace CrowneA covert operative type shown sliding and firing dual SMGs
GenoA helmeted version of the season’s antagonist, this time in dark armor
Sonic the HedgehogThe pass’s headline crossover character
MaliA fighting-game-inspired character who squares off with Jonesy in the reveal trailer
WrixelA block-headed, heavily customizable outfit tied to the Tetris crossover
BastianA sword-and-shield warrior with an unmistakably Zelda-adjacent look

Sonic, Tails, and the customizable Wrixel skin

Sonic is the one confirmed licensed character on the pass itself, and he does not arrive alone. The crossover also puts a Tails sidekick on the Override Pass, so the companion cosmetic comes from the same track rather than the Item Shop.

Wrixel is the outfit worth grinding for if you like tinkering. It ties into the Tetris crossover landing on August 20, 2026, and it is built as a customizable skin with more than a million possible style combinations. That puts it in the same category as past build-your-own outfits rather than a fixed cosmetic with two or three variants.

Grace Crowne is also worth flagging for a gameplay reason. The dual SMGs she uses in the trailer are expected to enter the loot pool when Override launches, so her reveal doubles as a weapon tease.

Gaming collabs that are not on the Override Pass

Chapter 7 Season 4 is packed with crossovers, but most of them sit outside the Battle Pass. Epic has confirmed a Persona 5 Joker skin for the season, and it does not appear on the pass lineup. Other characters circulating for the season, including Dr. Eggman and Shadow the Hedgehog, Mega Man, Crash Bandicoot, Pac-Man, and Kingdom Hearts’ Sora with the Keyblade, are also absent from the eight-outfit track.

The practical takeaway is simple. Buying the Override Pass gets you Sonic, Tails, and Wrixel, but not the wider Gaming Legends roster. Those cosmetics are expected to be sold separately or handed out through events, which means budgeting V-Bucks beyond the 800 the pass costs.

One last thing to keep straight in the menus. The Override Pass runs alongside the current Music Pass, which has Lil Tecca as the Festival Season 15 Icon. They are separate purchases with separate reward tracks, so make sure you are looking at the right one before you spend anything.
