The other is Ren Amamiya in his Shujin Academy blazer, plaid trousers, and glasses. An accessory toggle turns the mask on or off in Joker form, and the glasses on or off in Ren form.
The standout piece is the built-in Joker’s Transformation emote. It swaps the character between the Shujin uniform and the Phantom Thief coat and mask mid-match, with blue flames engulfing him as he switches, echoing how Persona summons work in the source game. Unlock Joker free in the Persona 5 Royal Cup
A Solo Persona 5 Royal Cup is scheduled for September 25, 2026. The main competition features Reload and Zero Build Reload playlists, and a distinct Mobile Cup takes place that day as well. Each main session permits as many as 12 matches, compared with a maximum of eight in the Mobile Cup. Reach your region’s qualifying placement to have the Joker (P5R) Outfit, Shujin Academy Backpack Back Bling, Joker’s Transformation Emote, and Silver Dagger Pickaxe added directly to your locker.
You can earn a separate reward without placing on the leaderboard. Reach the required score to have the Metaverse Navigator Emoticon added to your locker, regardless of your final standing. The target is 8 points in Reload or Zero Build Reload and 5 points in the Mobile Cup.

The cutoff is identical for Reload and Zero Build Reload in each region, but the Mobile Cup offers fewer prizes. Participation alone earns no reward; your finish must fall within the qualifying range for your matchmaking region.

How scoring works
Finishes account for most of your score, while eliminations add a modest amount. Current event listings award placement points and two points for each of your first 10 eliminations in a match. In Solo, there is no teammate to revive you, making survival more valuable than chasing eliminations.

How to confirm the Joker skin reached your locker
Tournament cosmetics won’t appear while a session is still underway. After your placement is recorded, look for the Joker outfit and matching items in the Persona 5 Royal set in your locker; the Metaverse Navigator Emoticon is added when you reach its point requirement. Epic verifies winners’ eligibility, so that check may delay delivery beyond the end of the final match, even for a qualifying finish. Purchased items, by contrast, appear in your locker as soon as the order is confirmed.
