The Crash Dance arrives with Crash Bandicoot’s Chapter 7 Season 4 Item Shop bundle, alongside a retro PS1 style and Aku Aku Back Bling.

Crash Bandicoot brings his signature celebration to Fortnite as the Crash Dance emote, part of the Chapter 7 Season 4: Override crossover. The move recreates the goofy, spin-heavy victory animation the marsupial has performed across his own games, complete with his familiar shrug-and-wiggle energy.

Quick answer: The Crash Dance is a purchasable emote sold with Crash Bandicoot’s Item Shop bundle during Chapter 7 Season 4. Epic has not confirmed an exact release date, but the bundle is expected to reach the Shop at the end of the week.

What the Crash Dance emote does

The Crash Dance is Crash Bandicoot’s classic victory animation, one of the most recognizable moves in the series. Your character shrugs, dances, and works in Crash’s playful expressions before finishing on a cheeky pose. It reads as a standard emote rather than an animation locked to the Crash Outfit, so it is expected to work with other skins once the cosmetic details are live.

Epic showed the emote in the official Crash and Spyro reveal, where Crash performs the dance directly in the trailer. Whether the emote counts as Traversal, meaning you can move while performing it, is not confirmed.

How to get the Crash Dance emote in the Item Shop

The Crash Dance is not part of the Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass. Instead, it comes through the Fortnite Item Shop as part of Crash Bandicoot’s cosmetic release, which is one of the season’s Gaming Legends collaborations.

Wait for the Crash Bandicoot set to appear in the Item Shop. It has not dropped yet, and Epic has not published the full purchase breakdown.
Open the Item Shop and locate the Crash Bandicoot bundle. The Crash Dance is included in that bundle, and it may also be offered on its own once the set is live.
Buy the bundle or the individual emote with V-Bucks. Epic has not revealed the price yet, so the exact V-Bucks cost is unknown until the set launches.

You will know the purchase worked when the Crash Dance appears in your Locker under the Emotes tab, ready to slot into an emote wheel.

What comes with the Crash Bandicoot bundle

The Crash Dance is one piece of a wider set. The bundle pairs the emote with the Crash Bandicoot Outfit and several themed accessories drawn straight from his games.

ItemDetails
Crash Bandicoot OutfitGaming Legends Series skin with a modern look and a retro PS1 polygon edit style
Crash Dance emoteCrash’s classic victory dance
Aku Aku Back BlingFixed to Crash’s back rather than floating beside him
PickaxeTopped with an apple, a series staple
Bandicoot WrapWeapon wrap that applies across shotguns, assault rifles, and more

The Outfit also lists compatibility across Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing / Reload modes.

Crash Bandicoot styles and the Spyro Sidekick

The Crash Bandicoot Outfit ships with two selectable styles. One is his modern design, and the other is a retro polygon edit style that recreates his blocky 1996 PlayStation appearance for Fortnite Override.

Spyro the Dragon arrives at the same time, but as a Sidekick rather than a full Outfit. Spyro is based on his more recent design and does not get a retro style; instead he comes with alternate color edit styles, including a blue variant. Epic revealed both characters together ahead of the Item Shop drop.

When the Crash Dance emote releases

Crash Bandicoot is confirmed for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override, which began on August 20, 2026. The season is releasing roughly one Gaming Legends collaboration per week, and Crash and Spyro are expected to reach the Item Shop toward the end of the week.

Epic has not announced an official release date or launch time for the set, and the teaser did not include one. Until Epic confirms it, treat any specific day as unofficial. The Crash Dance is expected to arrive at the same time as the rest of Crash’s cosmetics.

Crash is joining a season stacked with crossovers. Epic has also confirmed content tied to Spyro the Dragon, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Persona 5 Royal, Kingdom Hearts, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and more, so the Crash Dance is one of many gaming-legend cosmetics rolling out across Override.
