Fortnite Droid Tycoon: All 17 Droid Fusion Recipes and Rarity Upgrades

Every confirmed three-droid combination, the credit costs, and the trick that turns three duplicates into a higher-rarity droid.

Droid Fusion is now a permanent part of the Galactic Workshop in Droid Tycoon, the Star Wars tycoon mode built by FOAD and Blzn Studios. The pitch is simple. Three droids go into the Droid Fusion Machine, one comes out. What you get back depends entirely on what you put in, and the community has already mapped 17 working combinations across Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic tiers.

Quick answer: Place three droids on the fusion pedestals, wait for the screen to read “FUSION READY”, pay the credit cost, then pickaxe the tank with the Chopper droid equipped to burn down the timer. Fusing three identical droids returns one droid of the next rarity tier up, which skips the upgrade chip cost entirely.

How Droid Fusion works in Droid Tycoon

The Fusion Machine sits in your base and uses three pedestals. Each one takes a single droid. Once a valid trio is loaded, the machine flags “FUSION READY” and asks for a credit payment before it starts. Nothing happens until you pay.

Fusion can produce three different outcomes. You can get a droid of higher rarity, a droid with a new variation, or an entirely new droid that does not exist anywhere else in the game. The recipe list below covers that third category. You can jump into the mode from the official Droid Tycoon island page using code 7865-8305-9184.

Timers are long. A Stellar Mythic fusion runs just under 31 hours at 30:59:57, and the cost scales with what you are making. The IG Stellar Mythic fusion, for example, charges 6.38T credits up front.

Fuse three identical droids to skip upgrade chips

This is the part worth building your whole fusion routine around. Load three copies of the same droid at the same rarity, and the machine hands back one copy at the next tier up. Three Galactic droids become one Stellar droid.

The reason that matters is chip cost. Pushing an IG droid from Galactic to Stellar through the normal upgrade path runs 90,000 upgrade chips. Doing it through fusion instead trades that chip bill for a credit bill, and credits are far easier to farm at scale than chips. If you have duplicates sitting idle, they are worth more in the tank than in your roster.

The payoff on the other side is real production. A Stellar Mythic RIV-3T generates 1.05M/s once it is working.

How to cut the fusion timer with the Chopper droid

You do not have to sit out a 31-hour countdown. Hitting the fusion tank with your pickaxe chips time off the timer directly.

Start the fusion and pay the credit cost so the tank goes active and the countdown appears.

Equip the Chopper droid before you start swinging. Its perk gives +50% crit chance and crit damage, plus a stacking +15%/s, which is what makes the pickaxe method worth doing at all.
Pickaxe the tank repeatedly. The timer drops as you land hits, so keep going until the countdown is at a length you are happy to wait out.

Tip: Since only one tank is running by default, the fastest overall throughput comes from clearing a fusion manually rather than letting it idle overnight.

Nova Crystals and unlocking a second Fusion Tank

Fusion pays out currency on its own. Every three completed fusions award 3 Nova Crystals, so a steady rotation of cheap duplicate fusions doubles as a crystal farm.

Those crystals also happen to be one of the two ways to buy more capacity. An additional Fusion Tank costs 300 Nova Crystals or 1,800 V-Bucks. At three crystals per three fusions, the crystal route is a long grind, which is worth knowing before you commit either way.

How to confirm a fusion worked

When the timer hits zero, the new droid lands in your Droidex alongside the rest of your collection. Open it and check the relevant class and rarity page. A slot that was previously greyed out will now show the fused droid, and duplicates you consumed will be gone from your roster.

If the machine never shows “FUSION READY”, the trio on the pedestals is not a valid combination. Check the rarity and variant of each droid, not just the name, since a rarity upgrade fusion needs all three to match exactly. If the prompt appears but nothing starts, you are short on credits for that particular fusion.

Droid Fusion shipped with almost no in-game explanation, which is why the recipe list above came out of player testing rather than a tutorial. More fusion mechanics and additional droid combinations are planned for future patches, so treat the 17 recipes as the current confirmed set rather than the final one.
