Fractal Midas is an Epic-rarity outfit, first added to the game files on September 3rd and released to the Shop on September 6th. Its current run is scheduled to end on September 13th, after which it goes back into normal daily rotation. There’s no confirmed return date beyond that.

The Gilded Splinter has one quirk worth knowing before you buy it. Instead of being gripped in the hand, the pickaxe hovers next to Midas’s right wrist, so the harvesting animation looks like he’s directing a floating shard rather than swinging a tool. You can see the offset clearly while standing around in the pre-match lobby.
The Continue? Coin emote projects a holographic timer above your head that counts down from 10 to 0, an arcade continue-screen gag rather than a dance.
How the elimination reactivity works
Reactivity is tracked per match and it counts eliminations, not damage, assists, or placement. You start every game in the base fractal state and the gold spreads across the model as your elimination count climbs. The Fractured SHADOW Pack and Gilded Splinter shift alongside the outfit.

Nothing else in a match moves the meter. Looting chests, harvesting, fishing, or completing quest stages leaves the outfit exactly where your elimination count left it.
The same applies to the seasonal quest objectives you’ll see in the corner of the screen, such as the Wrenfall Vehicle Mayhem step that asks you to enter a vehicle as a driver or passenger. Progress there is tracked separately from the outfit’s state.
How to confirm it triggered: after each elimination, the gold plating visibly expands across the model in third person. If you’re still fully fractal after a confirmed elimination, the Reactivity style is switched off in your Locker.
The counter resets when the match ends. Dropping into a new game returns Midas to the base look regardless of how gold you finished the last one.
Fractal Midas style options: Diamonds and Reactivity toggles
The outfit ships with two independent toggles in the Locker, so you can lock in a permanent look if you don’t want the gold to change mid-match.
