Fortnite: How to Find the Missing Audio Log for Hope (Week 7 Quest)

Week 7 of Chapter 7 Season 3 asks you to recover an audio log that Hope misplaced. It sits at an unnamed landmark rather than a marked point of interest, so the fastest route is to let the quest tracker mark the spot, then land straight on it. Finishing the pickup pays out a large chunk of XP and unlocks a short story beat you would otherwise miss.

Quick answer: Head south of Frosted Flats to the unnamed landmark, open the green shipping container, and interact with the missing audio log inside to complete the Week 7 quest and earn 12,000 XP.

Where the missing audio log is located

The audio log is stashed south of the Frosted Flats POI at a small unnamed landmark on the Season 3 map. The NPC known as The Singularity patrols this area, so you can talk to her along the way, but you do not need to. The pickup itself is tucked inside a green shipping container on the ground.

How to grab the audio log and complete the quest

Before you queue into a match, open the Weekly Quest list and track this objective. Tracking it places a marker on the general location, which makes the unnamed landmark much easier to spot from the air.
Jump off the Battle Bus and glide toward the tracked marker south of Frosted Flats. Aim to land directly at the landmark so you do not waste time crossing the map on foot.
Once you touch down, look for the green shipping container at the landmark. The audio log is placed inside it.

Walk up to the log and hold the on-screen interact prompt to activate it. This registers the pickup and closes out the quest.

How to confirm it worked

After you interact with the log, the Weekly Quest updates to complete and pays out 12,000 XP toward your Battle Pass progression. If the objective does not tick over, make sure you held the interact button long enough to trigger the pickup rather than tapping it and moving away.

What the missing audio log reveals

The recording adds context to the fallout from Geno impersonating the Visitor and shooting Agent Jones. In it, Hope and Doctor Slone talk about the Visitor as “our friend,” with Slone admitting he is still studying them and Hope agreeing. They question whether the Visitor can be trusted, and Slone answers with a line that sums up the whole situation.

The number one thing Jones should have taught you: Don’t trust anyone.

The exchange makes clear that Hope and Slone had no idea Geno was behind the attack, which sets up plenty of tension for when Jones recovers. More of that storyline is expected to land with update v41.30 on July 30, 2026.
