Quack Sprites arrived in Chapter 7 Season 3 with the v41.30 update on July 30, 2026, and they work differently from every other companion in the current Sprite lineup. You cannot pull them from Sprite Chests, regular chests, or supply drops. Instead, they are handed out as Sprite Mastery Rewards, which makes them some of the harder collectibles to add to a full set this season.
Quick answer: Reach Sprite Mastery levels 35, 40, 45, and 55 to unlock the Quack Water, Quack Earth, Quack Fire, and Quack Zero Point Sprites, respectively. Each one is credited straight to your Sprite Collection when you hit its threshold.
All four Quack Sprites and their mastery requirements
There are currently four Quack Sprites, and each unlocks at a set number of mastered Sprites. They are Special Variants, meaning each one keeps the ability of its base Sprite while adding a shared bonus effect on top.

The Quack Zero Point Sprite sits behind the highest requirement at 55 mastered Sprites. Because it is built on the Mythic Zero Point Sprite, it is the most exclusive of the group and keeps that Sprite’s ability of creating a Shield Bubble Jr. whenever you heal.
What Quack Sprites do
When a Quack Sprite is equipped on your back, every other Sprite in your inventory earns 50% of the Sprite XP you gain, on top of the XP the equipped Sprite receives. In practice, that means you can level several companions at once during a single match, which speeds up the grind toward mastering the rest of your collection.
Because each Quack Sprite is a cosmetic variant layered on an existing Sprite, its base ability stays intact. The Quack theme changes the look and adds the shared XP bonus, but it does not replace what the underlying Water, Earth, Fire, or Zero Point Sprite already does.
How to master a Sprite toward the unlock
Mastery is the only reliable path to earning Quack Sprites, and each mastered Sprite counts once toward your total. Follow this loop for every companion you want to bank.
You will know it worked when the Quack Sprite appears in your collection under its variant. If you die before extracting a Level 5 Sprite, it does not count toward mastery, which is the most common reason a threshold fails to move.
Getting Quack Sprites from other players
Outside of Mastery Rewards, the only way to obtain a Quack Sprite is from another player who is carrying one. That means you can take one by eliminating a player holding it, or arrange a trade with a squadmate. Sprites are fully tradeable, so pooling progress with friends is a valid route if you are chasing a variant you have not unlocked yet.
Once a Quack Sprite is in your Sprite Collection, losing it in a match is not permanent. You can summon it back using Sprite Dust, so a banked variant stays yours even after a bad run.
With four Quack Sprites tied to mastery milestones and a season that ends on August 19, 2026, the fastest approach is to keep extracting Level 5 Sprites every match. Equipping a Quack Sprite as soon as you earn one then feeds XP into the rest of your collection, shortening the climb to the next unlock.
