Spider-Man’s Web Shooters are back in Fortnite for the first time in three years, tied to the release of the film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The Mythic mobility item lets you swing across the Chapter 7 Season 3 map, scale walls, and outrun the Storm, and it is available to any player regardless of the skin you’re wearing.

Quick answer: Open a Spider-Man’s Backpack webbed onto a wall or cliff anywhere on the island, or buy a guaranteed pair from the Spider-Man NPC for 2,000 Gold Bars at The Battlewoods. They only appear in unranked Battle Royale playlists.

Where to find Spider-Man’s Web Shooters

There are two reliable ways to pick up the Web Shooters, and one of them removes all randomness. Spider-Man’s Backpacks spawn across the island, usually stuck to a vertical surface such as a wall or the side of a cliff. If a backpack is out of reach, look for the cobwebs nearby that you can climb or jump on to get to it.

Because backpacks spawn at random, you may need to check a few locations before you find one. If you want a guaranteed pair, head to The Battlewoods, where the Spider-Man NPC always spawns and sells the Web Shooters for 2,000 Gold Bars.

Note: The Web Shooters are limited to unranked Battle Royale. They do not appear in Ranked matches, so competitive players will not run into them.

How to confirm you have them

Once you open a backpack or buy them from the NPC, the Web Shooters drop into your inventory as a Mythic item. Backpacks can also release healing items when opened, so grab those while you’re there. As a Mythic-rarity utility item, the Web Shooters carry infinite ammo, meaning you can keep swinging for the entire match without running out of charges.

How to use the Web Shooters

Switch to the Web Shooters in your inventory slot so they are the active item.
Hold aim (right-click on mouse, or LT/L2 on a controller) and point at the surface you want to swing from, such as a tall building, a tree, or a player-built ramp.
Press fire (left-click, or RT/R2) to shoot a web at that surface and start swinging toward it. The web attaches instantly rather than firing a slow projectile.
Use your movement keys to steer mid-swing, and fire another web at a surface ahead of you to chain swings together and cover ground faster.
If you come in low to the ground, your character keeps momentum and runs along the surface instead of stopping, so you can transition straight back into another swing.

Tip: You can also aim the Web Shooters at floor loot and fire to pull items toward you on the move, similar to a Harpoon Gun. That’s handy for grabbing a Mythic weapon or snagging loot an enemy dropped without stopping.

Why the Web Shooters are worth carrying

The biggest advantage is speed. Focusing on high objects like buildings and towers lets you travel long distances quickly, which is ideal for beating the Storm or reaching an Extraction Site to secure a Sprite. You also take no fall damage while swinging, so even if you’re shot out of a swing you won’t lose health on the way down. The item is quiet, too, giving you a low-noise approach to catch enemies off guard, though players with Visualize Sound Effects turned on in their settings can still spot you.

Spider-Man Web Shooters Hours event

As part of the Spider-Man: Brand New Day crossover, Epic is running Spider-Man Web Shooters Hours on August 1, 2026. During these limited sessions, matches feature unlimited Web Shooters, more Spider-Man chests scattered around the map, and a boosted spawn rate for Cube Sprites.

Epic has not officially confirmed the exact session times, though they are expected to run at 2 PM ET and 9 PM ET. More details are likely to arrive alongside the 41.30 update. The Web Shooters remain in the normal loot pool outside of the event, so you don’t have to wait for the special hours to swing around the island.

Spider-Man’s Web Shooters first arrived in Chapter 3 Season 1 and have returned to Fortnite whenever a new Spider-Man film lands. Right now, the fastest route to a guaranteed pair is The Battlewoods NPC, while backpacks reward anyone willing to look for webs on the walls and cliffs as they loot.
