Fortnite’s Fortnitemares 2026 lineup now includes Lady Liberty, the killer wearing a Statue of Liberty mask in The Purge: Election Year. This Epic outfit debuted in Chapter 7, Season 4, and heads a small collection named The Purge. There are two ways to obtain her: she reaches the Item Shop on October 17, or you can claim her free by placing high enough in the Lady Liberty Cup. Early footage of the set highlights its main prop, a glowing torch, plus a single moving component: the drone spinning on her back.

Quick answer: Lady Liberty joins the Item Shop at 8PM ET on October 17. To get her free, finish inside your region’s Lady Liberty Cup cutoff (Top 100 to Top 1,000). Scoring 8 points earns the Purge Mask Emote.

Lady Liberty and The Purge set cosmetics

The Purge set has six items. Five of them are sold in the shop. The sixth, an emote, only comes from the cup.

The outfit and its two styles

Lady Liberty wears a sea-green, toga-style gown with a side slit, black boots, and a green smiling-skull mask topped with a spiked crown. Her brown hair is tied back. There are two edit styles. Splatter ( On ) adds smudges and stains across the mask and dress. Splatter ( Off ) gives her a clean look. Neither style changes her outline, so the choice comes down to how grim you want her to look.

Purge Drone back bling

The Purge Drone is a four-rotor drone with a skull at its center and glowing arms. Its in-game description says it has a 12-hour battery life. It is also the most animated piece in the set. The propeller blades spin when you sprint forward or jump, so it never looks like a static backpack in a match.

Liberty’s Purge Torch and Electrified Flex

Liberty’s Purge Torch is the set’s pickaxe. She holds it in one hand like a sword, and its green glow matches her mask. The Electrified Flex emote reuses that idea. Lady Liberty lifts a crackling torch high over her head, like the statue she is based on, while electricity sparks off it.

Purge Counter wrap and Purge Mask Emote

The Purge Counter wrap is both Damage Reactive and Elim Reactive. When you fire a wrapped assault rifle, tally marks appear along the weapon’s body, so the gun keeps a visible count as a match goes on. The Purge Mask is a small emote that shows a floating, neon-green smiling mask next to your character. It is not in the shop. You can only get it from the cup.

Lady Liberty gameplay in Blitz Royale

The set was granted to Epic Partners before its shop release, and the first gameplay comes from two Blitz Royale solo matches. Both matches ended in a Victory Royale. The first match starts with the Super Shield Medallion, which spawns a Shield Bubble Jr. whenever you use a healing item on yourself. The outfit reads clearly in close fights. The green gown stands out against loot piles, and the elimination feed fills up quickly in Blitz’s short format.

The back bling holds up best in motion. Between fights, the Purge Drone’s fans spin up during forward sprints and jumps, which you mostly see from behind in third person.

After opening a Supply Llama for Slurp Juice and the Freddy’s Nightmare mythic, the emote gets a test in the middle of the match. Electrified Flex plays out in open grass during a lull, and the skin earns a 7.5 out of 10 rating. It scores well for its design, though it isn’t treated as a must-buy.

The first match ends at Retail Row, with fights around houses and fences and a final elimination from a rooftop. Weapons shown across the session include the Wood Stake Shotgun, Bonerattler SMG, and High Stakes Shotgun.

The second match switches to the Splatter ( Off ) style with no back bling, which shows the clean outfit on its own. It drops into Pleasant Park with the Blitz Reveal Medallion, which marks nearby enemies for a short time every so often. Then it moves on to soccer-field chests, rift rotations to find supply drops, and a final elimination behind a rock.

Lady Liberty Cup: Free outfit cutoffs and rewards

The solo Lady Liberty Cup takes place Saturday, October 17, during 1PM to 4PM ET. Two distinct sessions run during that period, one with Battle Royale rules and one with Zero Build rules; each has a separate leaderboard. You may play as many as 11 matches in each session. To qualify, a match must be underway before its session ends. The Compete tab displays the schedule in your local time; in Central Europe, that means 7PM to 10PM. Epic says the times displayed in-game are authoritative.

Everyone who places within their region’s qualifying cutoff receives the outfit together with the Purge Drone back bling. Identical placement limits are used for each session.

RegionPlacement for outfit + back bling

North America Central (NAC)Top 700
North America West (NAW)Top 200
Brazil (BR)Top 200

Middle East (ME)Top 100

The Purge Mask Emote requires a set score of 8 points in every region, regardless of your finishing position. Reaching that score takes four eliminations over the course of your matches.

Credited eliminations are determined using the kill feed and the elimination counter shown during a match. For tied scores, Epic first checks total points, followed by total Victory Royales, average eliminations, and average placement per match, in that order. If the tie remains, the deciding factor is the combined number of seconds survived in all matches.

Cup eligibility requirements

The cup’s Eligibility Check in the Compete tab marks each of these conditions as met or unmet:

  • A valid rank, which requires Ranked to be switched on in Battle Royale mode selection
  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) enabled on the Epic account
  • Account level 50
  • An age restriction, set at 13 or your country’s minimum age
  • On PC only: IOMMU, TPM, Secure Boot, and Account Lock enabled

You also have to accept the official rules before you can queue.

How a Lady Liberty Cup win is confirmed

Your position on the session leaderboard indicates whether you reached the cutoff, but it does not guarantee a prize. Within 60 days after the session ends, Epic will contact potential winners through the email associated with their Epic account and verify their eligibility. Send any requested information within 45 days of that message. Keep the account used to compete active until verification is complete.

  • Residents of Turkey and Russia are ineligible for prizes.
  • Having obtained these cosmetics by another means already makes you ineligible to receive them again.
  • A prize cannot be moved from the account that earned it to a different account.

The prize is granted once the Lady Liberty Outfit, Purge Drone Back Bling, or Purge Mask Emote appears in your locker.

Lady Liberty Item Shop price and release time

The set goes live in the Item Shop at 8PM ET on October 17, in a section called “The Purge: Election Year.” Epic hasn’t confirmed final prices, so the figures below are expected prices.

ItemExpected price
Purge Bundle (all items)2,500 V-Bucks
Lady Liberty Outfit1,500 V-Bucks
Purge Drone Back Bling500 V-Bucks
Electrified Flex Emote500 V-Bucks

The items are expected to remain available in the shop for a minimum of one week, then leave sometime later in October.

Buying the bundle won’t get you the Purge Mask Emote, since it is only given out at the cup’s 8-point mark. That small reward is the one part of Lady Liberty’s set that V-Bucks can’t buy. Everything else, from the splattered gown to the counting rifle wrap, will be in the shop tonight for anyone who misses the cutoff.
