Because Epic capped the event at exactly nine quests, the FNCS Sentry demands a clean sweep. There is no spare challenge to skip. Each one also pays out 5,000 XP toward the Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass, so the full run is worth 45,000 XP on top of the cosmetics.

Open the Quests tab and look under the Fortnite Celebration heading to see which ones you still owe. The counters carry across matches, so partial progress is never wasted.

Six of these resolve themselves through ordinary play. Emoting, headshots, eliminations while aiming down sights, container searches, and thanking the Bus Driver need no planning at all, and visiting eight Named Locations in one match is mostly a matter of committing to a mobility run early.
The eight-location quest is the only one that must be completed within a single match, so treat that match as a dedicated rotation lap rather than trying to fight.
Clearing the three item-based quests in one drop
The three quests that actually need a plan are the cake slices, the Birthday Presents, and the Balloons. All three can be finished in a single landing if you drop at Golden Grove, which has a giant multi-tier birthday cake on the island beside it.
Those five steps cover twelve individual objectives and account for three of the nine quests. Paired with the passive ones, that is realistically a single match plus one clean-up run.
How to confirm the FNCS Sentry unlocked
The back bling is not claimed from a menu. When the ninth quest completes and the match ends, a Quest Complete prompt appears in the lobby and hands over the FNCS Sentry directly. If you finished the ninth objective mid-match, you may need to return to the lobby before the prompt fires.
To double-check, open your locker and look under back blings. The FNCS Sentry should be sitting alongside the Choco-9 Cake and the Cake Crusher pickaxe from the earlier tiers. If all three are present, the event track is finished.
Birthday quest deadline
The Birthday 2026 event went live on September 21st, with the quests themselves switching on at 6AM PT / 9AM ET that day and rolling out across other regions on the same schedule.
Everything expires on October 1st, 2026, and the in-game Quests tab shows a live countdown next to the Fortnite Celebration heading if you want to see exactly how much time is left on your account. Once that timer runs out the quests disappear, and with them the only route to the FNCS Sentry, so anyone still short of nine should get the cake run done sooner rather than later.
