Fortnite Ironmouse Icon Cup: How to Unlock the Ironmouse Bundle for Free

Placement thresholds, scoring, eligibility settings and the exact session window for the Duos competition.

Placement thresholds, scoring, eligibility settings and the exact session window for the Duos competition.

The Ironmouse Icon Series collaboration reaches the Item Shop on September 18, but a competitive event gives players a route to the cosmetics first. The Ironmouse Icon Cup is a Duos tournament built around Reload, and finishing inside your region’s prize bracket hands you the Ironmouse Bundle at no cost.

Quick answer: Finish inside your region’s prize bracket — Top 500 in Europe — during the Ironmouse Icon Cup on Tuesday, September 15, between 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM local time.

Ironmouse Icon Cup date, session window and formats

The cup runs on Tuesday, September 15, with a session window of 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. That is two hours and thirty minutes of open queuing, so there is no fixed round schedule to sit through — you play as many matches as you can fit into the window.

Two separate tracks are on offer, and both are Duos. The standard track is Ironmouse Icon Cup Reload, and the no-building track is Ironmouse Icon Cup Zero Build Reload. You will find both listed on the Compete tab in the lobby.

Duos means you need a partner ready before the session opens. Queuing solo is not an option in either track.

Prize thresholds: who actually gets the Ironmouse Bundle

The reward is the Ironmouse Bundle rather than a single Outfit, and it goes to teams that finish inside their region’s placement cutoff. In Europe, that cutoff is the Top 500. Other regions carry their own thresholds, which are smaller or larger depending on how many players compete there, so open the cup details screen and read the number listed for your own region before you start planning a strategy.

Eligibility requirements to unlock the cup

The cup card stays locked until every requirement is satisfied, and several of them are system-level settings that cannot be changed from inside the game. Clear all of these first:

  • Enable TPM (Trusted Platform Module) in your BIOS/UEFI.
  • Enable Secure Boot in your BIOS/UEFI.
  • Enable IOMMU (Input-Output Memory Management Unit) in your BIOS/UEFI.
  • Enable Multi-Factor Authentication on your Epic Games account.
  • Reach account level 50.
  • Hold a valid competitive rank.
  • Meet the age restriction — at least 13, or older where your country of residence requires it.
  • Have an account that is not locked.

The Eligibility Check menu inside the cup screen lists each condition with a pass or fail marker, so you can see exactly which one is holding you back rather than guessing.

TPM, Secure Boot and IOMMU changes happen in your motherboard firmware and require a restart. Sort these out well before 7:00 PM rather than during the session window.

Scoring: placement points and the elimination cap

Points only begin at Top 12, so matches where you fall out early contribute nothing beyond your eliminations. The gap between a Victory Royale and second place is ten points, and the drop-off steepens fast below the top five.

Each elimination is worth +2 points, and the cap sits at 10 eliminations per match. The eleventh knock onward pays nothing, which means a 20-elimination game scores the same 20 elimination points as a 10-elimination game. Chasing fights after you hit that ceiling only risks your placement.

The practical balance is to bank a few early eliminations, then play for survival. Twelfth place with four eliminations returns 12 points, while a Victory Royale with the same four eliminations returns 68 — placement carries the run.

How to enter the Ironmouse Icon Cup

Open the Compete tab from the Fortnite lobby and find the Ironmouse Icon Cup entry dated Tuesday, September 15. Pick either the Reload track or the Zero Build Reload track depending on which one you play better.
Select the cup and run the Eligibility Check. Fix any failing requirement now, because the card will not let you queue while a condition is unmet.
Open the details screen and confirm your region’s placement threshold and the session start time shown for your account. Bookmark the session if you want a reminder from the game.
Add a Duos partner to your party before the window opens. Both players need to clear the eligibility requirements independently — one qualified player cannot carry an unqualified teammate into the queue.
Return to the lobby and be ready at 7:00 PM. Queue immediately once the session goes live, since the window closes at 9:30 PM regardless of how many matches you have played.

How to confirm you placed high enough

Your running point total and current standing appear on the tournament screen throughout the session, updating after each match. That number is what decides the outcome — if your final placement sits inside the bracket listed for your region, the Ironmouse Bundle is granted to your account and the cosmetics show up in your Locker.

Standings can shift right up to the 9:30 PM cutoff, so a position that looks safe with thirty minutes left is not final. Keep playing while the window is open.

Missed the cutoff? The Item Shop release lands September 18

Falling short of the threshold does not lock you out of the cosmetics permanently. The Ironmouse Icon Series set arrives in the Item Shop on Friday, September 18, 2026, and is expected at the standard shop refresh — 8 PM ET, which converts to 5 PM PT and 1 AM BST on September 19. Epic has not attached a special launch hour to the release, and no V-Bucks price has been published for either the individual pieces or the full bundle.

The set is built around two Ironmouse looks, with emotes, a pickaxe styled as a purple sword with a microphone hilt, and a guitar among the accompanying items. Ironmouse revealed the pickaxe herself ahead of the launch.

One thing worth clearing up: the Ironmouse Sprite that appeared during Chapter 7 Season 3 is a separate piece of content. Owning or mastering it does not unlock the Outfit and carries no announced discount, so the cup and the Item Shop are the two routes that matter here.
