Fortnite OG Season X Pass: Release Date and All Three Outfits

OG Season X lands September 3 with remixed Ultima Knight, X-Lord, and Catalyst outfits headlining the pass.

Fortnite OG is rolling over to Chapter 1 Season X, and with it comes a new OG Pass built around three of the era’s most recognizable outfits. Season 9’s pass closes out first, so anything still unclaimed there is on a clock.

Quick answer: OG Season X starts September 3, 2026, and its OG Pass headlines three outfits — Ultima Knight, a female take on X-Lord, and Catalyst. Finish claiming Season 9 rewards before that date, because past OG Passes cannot be reopened.

Fortnite OG Season X release date

Season X goes live on September 3, 2026. Season 9 ran from June 25 to September 2, a 69-day stretch, so the changeover happens back to back with no gap in between. You can check the current pass and its remaining pages straight from the lobby before the swap.

The three OG Season X Pass outfits

The pass leads with Ultima Knight, Catalyst, and a female version of X-Lord. Two of those are straight reprises of Chapter 1 Season X headliners, while the X-Lord slot is a redesign rather than a one-to-one copy of the 2019 outfit.

The choice of trio is not random. In the original Season X Battle Pass, X-Lord and Catalyst were the two outfits handed out the moment you bought the pass, and Ultima Knight was the Tier 100 reward at the very end of the grind. The OG Pass keeps those same three names as its anchors.

How the new outfits compare to the 2019 originals

Chapter 1 Season X launched on July 31, 2019 with a 100-tier Battle Pass priced at 950 V-Bucks. Its outfit lineup covered Yond3r, X-Lord, Ultima Knight, Tilted Teknique, The Scientist, Sparkle Supreme, Eternal Voyager, and Catalyst — all of which are still sitting in the lockers of players who bought in at the time.

OG Pass price and how rewards unlock

An OG Pass costs 800 V-Bucks, down from the 1,000 V-Bucks it launched at. Unlike the main Battle Pass, completing an OG Pass returns no V-Bucks, so treat the purchase as a straight cosmetic buy rather than something that pays itself back.

Rewards are spread across six pages. The first page opens immediately and includes one outfit right away, while each later page stays locked until you either claim a set number of earlier rewards or reach a level threshold — for example, four more rewards or seven levels to crack open page two. Later pages carry the alternate styles, with dark and remixed variants of the main outfits sitting at the end of each set.

Note: You cannot go back to an OG Pass from a previous season. Once Season X begins, the Season 9 pass is closed for good, whether or not you finished it.

What disappears when the Season 9 OG Pass ends

The outgoing pass is built around Dragonheart Demi, Neo Future Rox, and Spectral Devourer, each with a second style further down the track. That means Night Dragon Demi, Neo Waverider Rox, and Dark Spirit Devourer are all still in play until September 2.

Alongside the outfits, the pass carries matching cosmetics such as the FutureFlight X10 pickaxe, Devourer’s Claws, the Sword Soarer and Darksword Soarer gliders, and a run of wraps, sprays, emoticons, and banners. Anything you have earned but not claimed should be picked up before the season flips.

Using OG Pass outfits in your locker

Outfits from the pass land in your locker like any other cosmetic and can be mixed with items from outside the OG mode. From the Loadout screen you can pair a pass outfit such as Catalyst with a sidekick and a wrap, using the Sidekicks tab to swap the companion that follows you into a match.

Missed an OG Pass outfit? Watch the Item Shop

OG Pass cosmetics are not locked to the season that introduced them. Items from earlier passes have gone on to appear in the Item Shop after their season wrapped, so an outfit you skip now is not necessarily gone forever — it just stops being obtainable through the pass itself.

The practical takeaway is simple. Spend the remaining time on Season 9 finishing pages you are close to, then check the OG Pass again on September 3 to see the Ultima Knight, X-Lord, and Catalyst tracks laid out in full.
