The Phantom Thieves finally have a date. After weeks of teasers, silhouettes, and datamined file names, Epic Games has locked in when Persona 5 Royal lands in Fortnite — and it brings a Morgana Sidekick, a Morgana-shaped car, and a parallel set of rewards on the Rocket League side.

The teaser Epic put out carries the tagline “On September 25th, a change of heart is coming,” alongside the Atlus and Sega copyright line. Everything in it is silhouetted, so the outfits themselves stay hidden until the shop flips.
Which Persona 5 characters are coming to Fortnite
Two outfits and one Sidekick. That is the whole roster for this wave, which is a smaller lineup than a lot of Persona fans were hoping for — Ryuji, Makoto, and Futaba are not part of it.
Joker
Joker is the anchor of the set and the only character Atlus showed running around in Fortnite ahead of the reveal. His locker items cover a Back Bling, Pickaxe, Emote, Wrap, Kicks, a Guitar, and an Emoji. He can toggle his Phantom Thief mask on and off, and a second style is in the files — datamined under the codename “Goth” — pointing to a look pulled from Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight.
Ann Takamaki
Ann arrives in her Panther outfit with her own Back Bling, Pickaxe, Emote, Mic, and Wrap. Like Joker, she gets a mask toggle and a second style sitting in the files under the codename “Berth.” The alternate styles and Joker’s rumored transformation emote are the pieces to treat as unconfirmed until Epic publishes the full set.
Morgana
Morgana is not a playable outfit. He shows up as a Sidekick, bundled alongside Joker and Ann, which is the sensible call given how small he is next to a standard Fortnite character model. His vehicle form is handled separately as a car cosmetic.
Pricing has not been announced for any of it. There is also no word on Persona gliders, loading screens, or Jam Tracks, which stings given how much of Persona 5’s identity lives in its soundtrack.
Morgana Sprite: what it does in Chapter 7 Season 4
The Morgana Sprite is already in the game. It came in with the v42.20 update on September 17, in the same batch as Crash Bandicoot’s damaging-jump Sprite and Blinky from Pac-Man, who cloaks you after you take damage.
Morgana’s effect is healing-focused. Equipping him increases the effectiveness of healing items, scaling as you level the Sprite up by collecting more of them from the map or off eliminated players. The boost climbs through +15%, 30%, 50%, 75%, and 100% at maximum level, which turns a Med Kit or a Shield Potion into a meaningfully bigger swing in a fight.
MonaCar and the Rocket League side of the crossover
The crossover does not stop at the battle royale island. Morgana’s bus form becomes the MonaCar, a vehicle body that carries its own wheels, character decals for Joker and Panther, and a Phantom Thieves of Heart Goal Explosion.
On the Rocket League end, the rewards sit behind a challenge track, several stages of which run inside Bullet Ball, a limited-time mode. Here is what the set contains.

- In online matches, make 5 saves or epic saves.
- Reach a combined score of 1,996 points through online matches.
- Freeze the ball 15 times in Bullet Ball.
- In Bullet Ball, send the ball at your opponent 120 times.
- Score 25 demolitions or knockouts while playing Bullet Ball.
- With the Joker Mask topper equipped, secure MVP honors 3 times in online matches.
The final challenge locks behind a reward from earlier in the track, so the Joker Topper has to be equipped before that MVP requirement will register progress.
How to tell the Persona 5 collab is live
Nothing needs to be claimed or unlocked in Fortnite for the outfits themselves. When the shop rotates at 5PM PT on September 25, a Persona 5 Royal section appears in the Item Shop with Joker and Ann sold individually and as a bundle. If the shop still shows the previous rotation, close and reopen the tab, or restart the client — the refresh does not always redraw on its own.
An emoticon is expected to come from the Override Series Cup running on September 25 rather than the shop, so competitive players get a free piece of the set. The Morgana Sidekick is included with the character purchase rather than sold on its own.
Where the Persona 5 collab fits in Chapter 7 Season 4
Override is a Gaming Legends-heavy season, and Persona 5 Royal is one of several game franchises Epic has pulled onto the island this cycle alongside Sonic, Kingdom Hearts, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners content. There is no Persona point of interest, no Mythic weapon, and no Persona summon tied to the drop — this is a cosmetic crossover, not a map event.
Joker is also not in the Season 4 Battle Pass, which is built around Mali, Wrixel, and Geno. Everything Persona-related runs through the Item Shop instead, with the Rocket League track as the only route to free Phantom Thieves cosmetics. Whether more of the cast turns up later is an open question — Epic has not committed to a second wave, and only Joker, Ann, and Morgana are on the board for Friday.
