Wheelspins return in Forza Horizon 6, but Playground Games tightened the spigot. You no longer drown in spins from low-level play, and the prize pool only opens up after you've cleared the early story beats. Once they're unlocked, the fastest way to stack them is a Car Mastery loop built around cheap cars with the right perks.
Unlocking wheelspins in the first place
Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins are gated behind early progression. You can't trigger them from the pause menu until you've joined the Horizon Festival proper.
Step 1: Meet Mei and Jordy at the intro to pick up your Collection Journal and your first car. You choose between a 1989 Nissan Silvia K's, a 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205, or a 1970 GMC Jimmy, but all three end up in your garage regardless.
Step 2: Drive to Tokyo with Mei and complete the showcase route. Finishing this race opens up multiplayer modes.
Step 3: Run through the Horizon Qualifiers event series. Clearing it earns you an invitation to the Horizon Invitational.
Step 4: Accept the Wristband at the Invitational. From this point, Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins can drop as rewards and can be triggered manually from the pause menu.
Where wheelspins come from
Once unlocked, spins drip in from multiple progression tracks. None of these are huge on their own, but they add up if you actually collect the rewards each time you hit a milestone.

The Car Mastery loop, the actual fast method
Leveling up alone is slow. The reliable way to mass-produce Super Wheelspins is to convert Skill Points into mastery perks that hand you instant spins. Two perks matter most:
- Spinball Wizard — instant Super Wheelspin.
- Spin To Win — instant standard Wheelspin.
Many cars have these baked into their Car Mastery trees, including Forza Edition vehicles, Treasure cars, and certain hypercars. The cheapest reliable target is the 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STI Version, which costs 86,000 credits from the Autoshow and carries both a 9x Skill Chain multiplier and the Spinball Wizard node. Around 30 Skill Points gets you to the Super Wheelspin on that tree. Premium options like the 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto (365,000 credits) bundle three regular Wheelspins and a Super Wheelspin for roughly 39 Skill Points.
The Lotus Evija Forza Edition, Mercedes-AMG ONE, McLaren P1, 1999 Dodge Viper GTS ACR Forza Edition, 1987 Porsche 959, and 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Forza Edition all carry wheelspin perks worth chasing, too.
Farming Skill Points fast
The loop runs on Skill Points, so you need a way to bank them in bulk. The mechanic is simple: build a Skill Chain to a 100,000-point score, then stop to bank it. Each banked 100,000-point chain awards 10 Skill Points, which is the hard cap per streak.
Step 1: Equip a car with a strong Skill Chain multiplier. The 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STI Version is the go-to thanks to its 9x multiplier. A fast Forza Edition or S2 car like the Lotus Evija works as a fallback.
Step 2: Open Settings, then Difficulty. Crank Drivatar difficulty up, turn off traction control and stability, and leave Rewind on so a single crash doesn't wipe your chain. Driving Line on Full helps when you're focused on chaining drifts.
Step 3: Fast travel to an open, object-dense area. The Ito Half Mile drag strip, the Horizon Festival Drag Strip, and the Ito Airfield all work. Community EventLab tracks designed for XP farming are the most efficient option once you own a house with estate access.
Step 4: Drift side to side, sideswipe fences, smash breakables, and chain skills until the multiplier maxes at x10 and your score crosses 100,000. A Skill Song on the radio boosts the multiplier further while it plays.
Step 5: Stop the car cleanly to bank the streak. Crashing or going off-road mid-chain forfeits the score. You'll see Skill Points credited in the post-chain summary.
Step 6: Open the Cars tab, go to Car Mastery, and spend the points on Spinball Wizard or Spin To Win. Repeat with other cars that have the same perks. Skill Points earned on a car stay with that car even if you auction it off.
The buy-spin-sell cycle
Because the Subaru 22B only costs 86,000 credits, you can repeat the cycle: buy it, dump Skill Points into the Spinball Wizard node, claim the Super Wheelspin, then list the car on the Auction House to recover most of the credits. You won't always get full value back, but the spins more than cover the loss if a car or large credit prize hits.
Sorting your garage by value and checking the Car Mastery tree of expensive cars you already own (especially Forza Editions and Treasure cars) is the quickest way to find unclaimed wheelspin nodes you've been sitting on.
Houses and passive sources
All eight properties in Forza Horizon 6 grant permanent bonuses. The Tokyo City House is the priority pickup because it gives a daily Wheelspin just for logging in, which works out to seven free spins a week with zero effort. Other houses double Skill Point payouts or hand out extra perks that feed back into the Car Mastery loop. They're expensive, but the daily and passive returns pay them off over a normal playthrough.
If you own the Premium Edition or have an active VIP Membership, you also collect a weekly Super Wheelspin from the rewards menu. It's the most consistent Super Wheelspin source outside Car Mastery farming.
What you can win
The prize pool covers credits, cosmetic items, and a long list of Wheelspin-exclusive cars. Notable models locked behind spins include the 1984 Ferrari 288 GTO, 1995 Porsche 911 GT2, 1998 Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR, 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, 2015 Koenigsegg One:1, 2019 Aston Martin Valhalla Concept Car, 2021 Rimac Nevera, and the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning, among others. Credit prizes can land in the six- and seven-figure range from a single Super Wheelspin reel.
Because spins are rarer than they were in Forza Horizon 5, expect a slower drip from passive sources and lean on Car Mastery if you want to fill out the rare-car list on any reasonable timeline.
