Now that Apple has joined the Dual SIM smartphone’s bandwagon with the launch of iPhone XS, XS Max and iPhone XR, it’s only obvious that users would want to take advantage of two numbers on their iPhone for not only calls and SMS, but Messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.

Well, the short is NO. You cannot use your Dual SIM iPhone to run two WhatsApp account on your iPhone.

Dual SIM has long been a feature on Android devices, but WhatsApp hasn’t till date added the ability to let users add two accounts to the app. But of course, that hasn’t stopped the Android device makers to build workarounds to let users add two WhatsApp accounts on their Dual SIM devices.

Apparently, on Android devices you could run a second instance of WhatsApp by cloning the app using a third-party software. Apple would never let you do that on an iPhone. And hence, you cannot use two WhatsApp accounts on your Dual SIM iPhone.
