Version 7.1 opens its Snezhnaya act with a dinner that turns into a brawl. A maid in Fatui service sits down uninvited at the Traveler’s table, talks politics over rye bread and tea, then flips a Mora coin into the air and attacks. That scene is the entry point to Chapter VII: Act IV “A Rekviem for the Underworld,” which runs through a throne-room audience, a flashback about the Crimson Moon, and a long fight against Ronova, the Ruler of Death.
Quick answer: The Mora game plays early in Act IV inside Podvorye Restaurant. Danica flips the coin, two Space-key prompts follow during the scuffle, and Vesna catches the coin to end it.
Everything below covers the full story of Act IV, including its ending.
Danica’s Mora game at Podvorye Restaurant
The encounter starts as a conversation, not a fight. A dark-teal-haired woman in a maid uniform walks through Podvorye Restaurant and stops at the table where the Traveler and Paimon are eating.

Act IV is permanently available once Version 7.1 is live, so the only real gate is the quest chain in front of it.
- Adventure Rank 18 or higher.
- Chapter VII: Act III “White Night, Like a Dream Upon Waking” completed.
- Act III itself requires Chapter VII: Act II “Wraith’s Nocturne.”
- Focused Experience Mode works for both of the new acts.
You do not have to clear every region to get there. Reach Adventure Rank 18, finish Prologue: Act III “Song of the Dragon and Freedom,” then travel to Snezhnaya. Chapter VII: Act I “Everwinter Without Mercy” unlocks by itself at that point, and the chain runs straight through to the newest act.

The palace scenes and abyss battle are interwoven instead of separated into two uninterrupted sections, so the view can switch mid-sequence between the frozen chamber and the crimson battlefield.
Inside the palace: the golden beast, the Tsaritsa, and Rhinedottir
The throne hall audience
The grand entrance opens into a frozen throne room. The Traveler enters with Childe and the other party members, approaching Anastasya Feodorovna Snezhnaya as she sits with the Harbingers. This formal introduction first makes clear who commands the room.

The armored golden beast
A winged golden automaton begins the assault inside a cathedral-like hall. Hanging back, Pantalone triggers the ceiling-mounted laser turrets with a remote detonator, while the Traveler and Vesna engage it at close range. Vesna eventually channels ancestral magic through her staff, forms radiant golden wings, and charges the hall’s light spheres. That holds the creature in place long enough for the Traveler to defeat it from above.
The creature rises once more. After regenerating, it charges again, but an enormous bird-shaped ice construct locks it in ice at the hall’s center. Through the mist, the white-haired Cryo Archon then enters.
Rhinedottir, Ruler of Life
Golden radiance reveals Rhinedottir, whose eyes are different colors and who is accompanied by a hovering halo relic. She advances and reclaims the life essence orb while the Tsaritsa and Pantalone allow it. Later, the women occupy opposite sides of an ornate table in an icy palace chamber, surrounded by green beams.
The Eftirvit and Hroptatyr flashback
The fight transitions into a stylized flashback set in an ancient courtyard. Eftirvit and Hroptatyr, both scholars, discuss abstract magic and cosmic power beneath a flowering tree, as elderly Professor Mimameith watches from her wheelchair beside a fountain.
The mood shifts during a night-time conversation in an archive, where the two discuss the professor’s failing health after the Crimson Moon research project. Hoping to buy her more time, Hroptatyr produces a research tome and lays a magic circle over it to break down the Crimson Moon’s power. The spell collapses into ash. He walks off saying the theory was wrong, leaving Eftirvit furious in the hallway.
Rain falls over a fog-shrouded cemetery on a hillside. Hroptatyr stands beneath an umbrella at Mimameith’s grave marker, then finally turns away from Eftirvit.

The Ronova fight and the Paralogism’s Outcast boss
The story returns to the present: on a snowy ruin beneath a red sky, the Traveler stands alone while allies lie scattered nearby. Above them, the white-haired Ruler of Death materializes.

Dainsleif dives into the battle with blue energy chains aglow and a blazing energy sword, joining the Traveler in a rapid defense. Pierro follows with a luminous purple Fatui star device made to oppose Ronova’s immortal strength, launching purple shots beside Dainsleif. The Traveler rises through a red rift and attacks her ocular shield head-on. The three fighters finish by driving elemental and abyssal power together into one blast aimed at her barrier.
After the cutscenes, the encounter becomes a live battle against Ronova, identified as Paralogism’s Outcast (Lv. 110). Use your own skills and bursts as usual. Once the fight ends, Ronova kneels in the snow, Mitya and the others regain their senses, and The Jester cautions that she has not been defeated for good.
Pierro’s concluding attack is the spectacle toward which the version has been leading. He creates an immense purple crystal spear and throws it, then taps five hundred years of resentment together with the Curse of Immortality to form a gigantic magic circle and send a massive piercing beam through the sky. At the same time, elsewhere, the Tsaritsa employs the collected Gnoses to enclose Rhinedottir in a crystalline barrier that slows time.

The group returns to the smoking crater, but Ronova has vanished. They debate whether the Ruler of Death is even killable, after which The Jester announces that Snezhnaya’s blockade has been removed.
The ending cutscene at the celestial pillar
The conclusion moves away from the battlefield. Beside a gigantic tower in the sky above the clouds, Ronova emerges from a portal, clutching her injured chest as she considers how narrowly she escaped death.
She reaches toward the pillar, her last surge of power rises into the sky, and she delivers her parting words. Cracks spread through the structure as the act closes, leaving the pillar shattered and the nail of retribution above Snezhnaya no longer a threat.
Confirming Act IV is complete and the reward deadline
The act has counted as complete once Chapter VII Epilogue appears among the available quests. Access requires clearing “A Rekviem for the Underworld” during the specified window, and the Epilogue also has its own time limit.
Finishing Act IV also makes you eligible for “Tabletop Troupe: A Gathering on Adventure’s Eve,” which lets you invite one event-exclusive 5-star of your choice from Tartaglia, Nilou, Baizhu, Chiori, Clorinde and Varesa, bundled with that character’s ascension and level-up materials. One invite per account.
The completion bonus, the Epilogue and the free 5-star selector all close at 2026/11/03 14:59 server time, which lands in mid-afternoon on your server clock rather than at midnight or at the end of the version.
The bonus itself pays out Primogems, Character Ascension Materials, Character Level-Up Materials, Snezhnaya regional specialties and other rewards, with exact quantities listed on the in-game reward panel. The quests stay in your journal permanently either way, so a late run costs you nothing except everything tied to that cutoff.
