Six pillars of light now hang over Teyvat, one for each Celestial Nail, and Genshin Impact 7.1 turns them into a short set of epilogue missions. They are quick check-ins rather than combat quests: you teleport to a region, talk to a familiar face about the nail overhead, and collect a flat reward. All six sit together in the Epilogue section of the quest menu, so none of them require hunting for an NPC marker in the open world.
Quick answer: Open the Epilogue list after A Rekviem for the Underworld, select each of the six Anomaly quests, and speak to the NPC at its tracked waypoint. Each pays 20,000 Mora.

Every stop is a single dialogue scene with no fighting. The content differs by region, and together the six talks set up how each nation is reacting to the light in the sky.
Mondstadt: Albedo at the Dragonspine summit
Albedo meets you in the ruins at the top of Dragonspine, directly beneath the Skyfrost Nail. His focus is practical: the nail has changed, and he is tracking what that change does to the surrounding ecosystem. If you approach on foot, the Anemo updraft near the peak carries you high enough to see the nail and the beam above it clearly.
Liyue: Xiao at the edge of The Chasm
Xiao is stationed at the rim of The Chasm, watching the nail above it. He explains that Rex Lapis asked him to monitor its odd behavior while other adepti look into the situation elsewhere.
Inazuma: Yae Miko on Tsurumi Island
Yae Miko is already on Tsurumi Island when you arrive, looking out over the sea. She went to investigate the celestial beam herself after an ominous fortune slip reading, and she remarks on how unsettling the sky feels.
Sumeru: Dehya and Candace in the desert
Dehya and Candace are keeping watch over the glowing nail near Mt. Damavand. Their concern is protecting the desert settlements while supporting Nahida’s own inquiry into the phenomenon.
Natlan: Mavuika above the stadium
Mavuika speaks from a lookout overlooking the Stadium of the Sacred Flame, with the nail hanging above it. She ties the sight back to Natlan’s own history with the Heavenly Principles and the disasters that followed, and urges caution.
Snezhnaya: Alyosha at White Birch Snowgrave
Out on the snowy plains, Alyosha discusses the Nail of Retribution with you and Paimon. The nail is glowing and giving off strange sounds in the wake of the ruler’s defeat, which is what prompts the wider round of regional check-ins.
Rewards and how to confirm the Anomaly quests are complete
Finishing a conversation triggers a “Quest Completed” banner naming the region, along with a 20,000 Mora payout. That works out to 120,000 Mora once all six are done.
To verify the set, reopen the Epilogue list. Each finished Anomaly mission is marked with a green checkmark, and a full clear shows checkmarks beside every regional entry with nothing left to track.
The quests can be picked in any order from the Epilogue menu, so start with whichever region you already have unlocked waypoints in.
Why the Celestial Nails matter to the Heavenly Principles story
Celestial Nails are the broken crystalline pillars scattered across Teyvat’s oldest ruins, and they carry enough power to bend the Ley Lines wherever they land. They were cast down at the command of the Heavenly Principles, both to suppress the “dark poison” left behind after the Funerary Year and to wipe out civilizations judged disobedient or tainted by the Abyss.
The damage they caused remains evident in every region visited during these quests. Before the Skyfrost Nail struck, Dragonspine was a verdant mountain; the impact covered it in snow and broke its Irminsul tree. The Chasm began generating Lumenstone and Lumenspar when a piece of its Spiritstone came to light. The same type of impact caused Sumeru’s desertification, left Tsurumi Island shrouded in constant fog, and formed the crater that became the Basin of Unnumbered Flames; in the far north, it completely destroyed the golden city of Hyperborea.
Ronova sits behind that authority as the Ruler of Death and Arbiter of the Heavenly Principles, one of the Four Shades created when the First Descender arrived on Teyvat. She defines how death works for anything in the world and can withhold it, which is how the pureblood Khaenri’ahns ended up cursed with immortality during the Cataclysm. With the Heavenly Principles dormant, she has moved to check the Tsaritsa’s push against Celestia, which is why every nail lighting up at once reads as a warning rather than a coincidence.
None of the six conversations resolve what the nails are reacting to. They simply confirm that every nation has noticed, and that each one has someone watching the sky.
