Three Level 110 bosses, twelve fully built characters, and a final time of 230 seconds on the hardest solo difficulty.

Three Level 110 bosses, twelve fully built characters, and a final time of 230 seconds on the hardest solo difficulty.

Stygian Onslaught is the boss rush that sits at the top of Genshin Impact’s permanent endgame. Dire is its sixth and hardest difficulty. The Version 7.1 cycle runs under the banner “Luminous Battlefront” and puts three Level 110 bosses between you and the “Challenge Completed” screen. A high-investment clear built around Clorinde, the Traveler, and Neuvillette gets through all three in 230 seconds. The run shows what that pace looks like in practice, and also how far it still falls from the mode’s toughest time target.

Quick answer: The run clears the “Stygian Onslaught: Luminous Battlefront – Dire Single-Player Challenge” in 230s total (90s, 70s, 70s). That is a full clear, but it misses the 180s Perilous Objective tied to Sublimation weapon skins.

Stygian Onslaught Dire rules in Version 7.1

Dire works differently from the five difficulties below it. Those differences shape every team choice in the run.

  • Unlocks only after you clear Fearless (difficulty 5) in Single Player.
  • Single Player only, with no Co-Op option, and rewards are claimed solo.
  • No repeat characters across the three battlefields, so you need 12 distinct units.
  • Each battle carries its own limit, shown on screen as “Complete the battle within 120s.”
  • Exalted Ones buffs are switched off, so only your own builds count.
  • A Perilous Objective asks for the whole challenge in 180s or less, which works out to about 60s per battlefield.

Enemies on Dire also have far more HP and hit much harder than their Fearless versions. The bosses here are all scaled to Lv. 110.

The three Level 110 bosses and the teams that beat them

BattlefieldBoss (stage name)TeamTime
1Guardian Blade of Drifting Snow (Endless Reverberation)Durin, Chevreuse, Fischl, Clorinde90s
2Secret Source Automaton: Overseer Device (Obliterator Panoply)Alyosha, Diona, Odette, Traveler70s
3Battle-Hardened Domovoy Sculptor (Gale Hewing)Neuvillette, Nicole, Vodyanitsa, Citlali70s

Each boss comes with a mechanic that punishes the wrong elements. That explains why the three teams look so different from one another.

Guardian Blade of Drifting Snow: Clorinde Overload

The first boss carries the subtitle “Outcast Ice Shadow” and builds an Ice Coffin that has to be broken. Pyro attacks, Stellar-Glimmer Electro and Anemo triggers, and Lunar-Charged procs all crack it. The run uses a Pyro and Electro lineup. Clorinde stays on the field, Fischl adds off-field Electro, and Durin and Chevreuse supply Pyro, so Overloaded keeps firing. The boss goes down at around the 1:17 mark. At 90s, this is the slowest of the three fights.

Secret Source Automaton: Overseer Device: Cryo pressure with the Traveler

The second boss, the “Ancient Ruins Master Terminal,” builds Flow Momentum during the fight. An in-fight prompt tells you to “Use consecutive Cryo attacks to impede the accumulation of Flow Momentum.” Keeping Cryo on the boss slows that build-up and leaves it open to damage. The run’s team of Alyosha, Diona, Odette, and the Traveler does exactly that and finishes in 70s. The running total after two battlefields is 160s.

Battle-Hardened Domovoy Sculptor: Neuvillette Hydro

The final boss, also known as Churin and subtitled “Reverie of Crafted Ice,” creates Ice Sculptures. The most dangerous of these is the Big-Mouthed Jack Frost. Stellar Glimmer DMG stops the Sculptor from finishing them, and a single completed Jack Frost can swing the fight. Here, steady pressure matters more than one big burst. Neuvillette’s Hydro beam carries the damage, with Nicole, Vodyanitsa, and Citlali backing him up, and the fight wraps in 70s.

Build cards: levels, weapons and artifact sets

All twelve characters get a stat card after the clear. Several are at Lv. 100, including Durin, the Traveler, Neuvillette, and Nicole. Two supports sit at Lv. 80.

Alyosha is a clear example of how support slots are filled on Dire. He sits at Lv. 80 with a refined-to-max Favonius Lance and the Heart of the Furnace set, a setup aimed at utility rather than personal damage.

230 seconds against the 180s Perilous Objective

The game confirms a full clear in two ways. Each battlefield ends on a “Battle Complete” screen with its time, and the end of the run shows “Challenge Completed” along with “Current Total Time Elapsed: 230s.” Every battle also beats its 120s limit with time to spare.

The Perilous Objective is a separate, stricter target. To earn the Sublimation weapon skins, the whole challenge has to be finished in 180s. This run is 50 seconds over. Even the two 70s fights sit above the roughly 60s average that target requires, and the 90s opener adds most of the gap. So even a heavily invested account can clear Dire comfortably and still be well short of the cosmetic reward.

CycleStartEnd
Version 7.1 (current)September 30, 2026November 3, 2026
Next cycleNovember 11, 2026December 15, 2026

The current cycle’s Disturbance Outbreak window ended on October 10, along with the Dire Commendation. Extra artifact rewards from Resin are no longer available, but Dire stays fully playable until November 3. The bosses reset when the next cycle starts on November 11, which means the Guardian Blade, the Overseer Device, and the Domovoy Sculptor lineup, along with the 230s benchmark it produced, belong only to the Luminous Battlefront cycle.
