The new Tier 0 arrivals and climbers
Vesna debuts in Tier 0 as an Anemo sword user who stays on field, specializing in Stellar Swirl and spirit blade damage. She is the premier choice for a Stellar Swirl carry, with a performance ceiling close to the roster’s highest. Building her support lineup is comparatively simple as well, using characters such as Qiqi, the Cryo Traveler, and Faruzan, while Odette or Vodyanitsa round out premium teams.
Yumemizuki Mizuki moves up from Tier 0.5 into Tier 0. With C2 unlocked, she reduces Anemo resistance and resistance to the element affected by Swirl by 20%, while providing elemental damage boosts based on Elemental Mastery. She remains on a downward watchlist because her Stellar Swirl niche overlaps with Vesna’s.
Wriothesley climbs from Tier 0.5 to Tier 0 as well. During his skill, C1 makes every fifth normal attack produce an enhanced charged attack, adds four seconds to the skill’s duration, and increases Stellar Conduct damage. A dependable healer remains important, because his kit performs best while he stays above 60% HP.
Faruzan jumps from Tier 1 to Tier 0.5, lifted directly by the rise of Anemo Stellar Swirl carries like Vesna and Mizuki. Beidou, Klee, and Emilie each climb one step: Beidou reclassifies to Pure Support and slots as a flex option in Wriothesley teams, Klee benefits from calculation adjustments, and Emilie moves up as a C1 damage support with Hexerei core synergy. Sigewinne ticks up from Tier 4 to Tier 3.
Vodyanitsa and the support shifts
Vodyanitsa enters Tier 0.5 as a Hydro catalyst dedicated support and sustain character, with an upward watchlist. Activating her skill changes her into mermaid form: Hydro and Cryo resistance fall, healing occurs at short intervals, the active character gains interruption resistance, and coordinated attacks continue with effectively permanent uptime. She changes Stellar Swirl into Stellar Vortex, further reduces Anemo resistance, and provides quill-style stacks. Her weapon is Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers; the signature option lengthens the resistance-reduction period but is unnecessary.
Vodyanitsa’s Burst is pure healing with no attached team buff, so she is not a buffer you charge for damage windows.
This update also lowers the standing of a few longtime choices: Citlali and Mona now sit at Tier 0.5 rather than Tier 0, while Qiqi, as a sustain option, moves to Tier 1 from Tier 0.5.
New on-field DPS ratings for Columbina and Lisa
Two characters pick up dedicated on-field DPS placements. Columbina enters at Tier 1.5 for Verdant Dew and Lunar Bloom teams, with Lauma as her listed partner. Lisa lands at Tier 4 as an on-field option for Overload, Lunar Charged, and Aggravate compositions.
The Partner tag and team-building penalty
Version 7.1 introduces a “Partner” tag for DPS units that lose at least 30% of their team damage without a specific dedicated support, and cannot recover that gap through signature weapons or constellations. It flags carries whose rating depends heavily on one teammate rather than on general team flexibility.
