Kruzhkova stops you near a stretch of train track in Snezhnaya and asks you to count the Jack Frosts crammed inside a train. It is a trick meant to trip you up, because she changes the rules halfway through. There are two separate counts she wants, and both have exact answers.

After you answer, Kruzhkova pretends that “that kind of Jack Frost” actually meant only the ones wearing hats, so she calls your first reply wrong. Look at the train again and tell her there are 5 Jack Frosts wearing hats. She then accepts it as correct and moves on to the reward.
Watch for the decoys inside the train
If you would rather count yourself instead of using the numbers above, keep the tricks in mind. The train is filled with objects that look similar to Jack Frosts but should not be counted, and some real Jack Frosts are disguised so they blend in.

The reward and the chest downgrade
Once Kruzhkova confirms your answer of 5, she hands over what looks like a Luxurious Chest. As you go to open it, the chest keeps shrinking in value. It downgrades to a Precious Chest, then an Exquisite Chest, then a Common Chest, and finally a plain Investigation box holding only some Mora. On top of that, you receive a pouch of vegetables.
You do not actually lose anything from this. The pair with you refuses to let the scam slide and catches up to Kruzhkova. She admits why she has been tricking people and promises to stop, and she explains that the Jack Frosts were lured onto the train by an announcement of free food. She flees, the Jack Frosts realize they were fooled, and to thank you for letting them go free they hand over a genuine Luxurious Chest. That makes the whole exchange worthwhile.

Kruzhkova stands by the train track southeast of Morepesok. When you enter the area, the game pulls you into the conversation automatically, so there is little chance of walking past her.
Give her 16 first, then 5 when she switches to hats, and the encounter resolves in your favor with a real Luxurious Chest waiting at the end.
