Banje is a hidden Local Legend in Genshin Impact, tucked beneath an icy pathway in Svetloledovka in the Snezhnaya region. It moves through rock, earth, ice, and snow as a product of bio-alchemy, and the fight has an unusual twist. Feeding it Electro makes it swell into a giant, but that state is exactly what you need to clear its objectives.
Quick answer: Fill Banje’s indicator with Electro to force its giant state, then use a Stellar-Conduct reaction to interrupt the super energy blast it charges. When it shrinks back to its miniature state, finish it off to complete all three objectives.

Add to Google Preferences →The three Banje objectives
Clearing Banje for the achievement means completing three separate tasks in the same encounter. Each one is tied to Banje’s giant and miniature states.
| Objective | What it requires |
|---|---|
| Defeat Banje | Bring Banje’s health to zero during the fight. |
| Interrupt the super energy blast | Stop the blast while Banje is in its giant state. |
| Defeat Banje while miniature | Land the killing blow while Banje is small. |

How the fight works
Banje has an indicator you fill by landing Electro attacks. Once the bar is full, it enters the giant state. In this larger form it moves much more slowly, which makes its attacks easy to dodge.
At a certain point during the giant phase, Banje starts charging a super energy blast. This blast hits hard enough to one-shot a low-HP DPS character, so you cannot simply tank it. The reliable way to stop the charge is a Stellar-Conduct reaction. Piling on raw damage does not appear to interrupt the cast, which is why a Stellar-Conduct team is the recommended setup.
After the blast attempt, Banje shrinks back to its miniature state. This is your window for the final objective. Move around and wait for it to return to the small form, then land the finishing hit with your strongest characters.
Recommended team for Banje
A Stellar-Conduct team is the safest choice because it guarantees the interrupt objective. A Sandrone-based composition works well, and a lineup of Cryo Traveler, Diona, Yae Miko, and Qiqi interrupts the blast without trouble.
Not every squad triggers the reaction. A team of Flins, Columbina, Ineffa, and Lauma failed to interrupt the charge, so make sure your party can actually produce Stellar-Conduct rather than relying on damage alone.
| Team | Interrupt result |
|---|---|
| Cryo Traveler, Diona, Yae Miko, Qiqi | Interrupts the blast easily |
| Flins, Columbina, Ineffa, Lauma | Could not interrupt the blast |
Common reasons the objectives fail
The interrupt objective fails when your team cannot create a Stellar-Conduct reaction. Trying to out-damage the charge or dodging away without stopping it will let the blast go off and skip the requirement.
The miniature kill fails if you deplete Banje’s health while it is still in giant form. Time your burst damage for the small phase after the blast attempt, and keep some health in reserve so you can react when it shrinks.
Note: Like other Local Legends, Banje respawns at the daily server reset. If you miss an objective, you can return after reset and attempt it again.
Once all three tasks are checked off, defeating Banje grants its achievement, and the second underground waypoint keeps the arena a quick trip away for any repeat runs.
