The Stone Beasts, Like Ghouls Seated is a Snezhnaya World Quest that ends with a sealed entrance to the royal hall. To break the seal, you move through three chambers of the mausoleum and slide a winged beast statue into position in each one. Every statue rides on ice you create yourself, and the trick is controlling when water flows and when it freezes.
Quick answer: Shoot the ceiling chandelier to freeze the water pillars, build Prime Ice cubes to bridge the gaps, and push each of the three winged beast statues onto its target spot. Setting the third statue plays the final cutscene and opens the door.

How the freeze-and-push mechanic works
Two things drive every room. Shooting a ceiling chandelier changes the water and ice state around you, and the construct menu lets you place a Cube, described in game as “a cuboid created out of Prime Ice.” You use those frozen cubes as flat ground so a statue can slide where it needs to go.
Lumine equipped with a rifle handles the shooting. You aim at the chandelier to freeze the water pillars into solid surfaces, then push the winged beast statues along the ice. When a statue is meant to sit on a pressure plate, an ice cube goes on the plate first so the statue can be shoved onto it.
| Element | What it does |
|---|---|
| Ceiling chandelier | Toggles water flow and freezing when shot |
| Water pillar | Freezes into a surface you can walk or push across |
| Prime Ice Cube | Built from the construct menu to bridge gaps and cover pressure plates |
| Winged beast statue | Pushed into a target slot or plate to progress |

Second room: seat the middle statue

Third room: open the door to the royal hall
You know the puzzle is done when the closing cutscene finishes and the sealed entrance swings open, letting you continue toward the fragment of the Eye of Graeae’s power inside the mausoleum.

If a statue won’t move into place
Most stalls come from the ice not being where the statue needs it. If a statue stops short or slides off, check that your Prime Ice Cubes form an unbroken surface and that you froze the water pillars before pushing. For a pressure plate, remember the ice cube goes on the plate first, then the statue goes on top.
If the room floods before you finish, shoot the chandelier again to reset the water state, then rebuild your ice path. Each chamber only advances once its statue is fully seated, so take the placement one room at a time before moving deeper into the Pale Crown Palace.
