Zibai is the White Horse Adeptus of Liyue’s legends, a Geo character who wields a sword. In the scene she recalls the distant past, when she taught the ancient Lang-Gan mortals how to till the land and work with mathematics, and those mortals offered her wine in return.
The festival itself is tied directly to her. Rex Lapis originally instituted the Moonchase Rite as a way to awaken Zibai, giving the celebration its adeptal purpose long before it became a public event.

Zhongli explains how Moonchase drifted away from its ceremonial roots. Over time the focus moved toward mortals gathering together, feasting, and sharing wine, turning a solemn rite into the communal festival Liyue keeps today.

Wangshu Inn is set to host one of these gatherings in two days, and the group agrees to travel there together to attend it. That shared plan closes the scene and points to where the story continues.
