Genshin Impact Vodyanitsa: Hydro Vision Confirmed for Version 7.1

Everything HoYoverse has officially confirmed about the Korolevskiy Troupe's lead singer, plus her expected banner slot in 7.1.

Everything HoYoverse has officially confirmed about the Korolevskiy Troupe’s lead singer, plus her expected banner slot in 7.1.

Vodyanitsa is joining the playable roster in Genshin Impact Version 7.1. Her official drip marketing post pins down the details players care about most right away — her element, her title, and her place inside Snezhnaya’s Korolevskiy Troupe — while leaving her kit and banner slot for the livestream.

Quick answer: Vodyanitsa is a Hydro character who carries a standard Vision, and she becomes playable during Version 7.1, which goes live on September 23, 2026. She is the second character revealed for the update, after Vesna.

Vodyanitsa’s confirmed profile

The reveal post covers the standard drip marketing checklist. Here is what is locked in.

DetailConfirmed
TitleLingering Siren-Song
RolePrima Donna of the Korolevskiy Troupe
ElementHydro (Vision)
ConstellationPiscicula Aurea
NationSnezhnaya
Version7.1
Voice actorsSuzie Yeung (EN), Ito Kanae (JP)

Her rarity has not been announced. Vesna’s Anemo reveal came with a 5-star confirmation, but Vodyanitsa’s Vision does not carry the same tell, so the star rating stays open until HoYoverse says otherwise.

Why a Vision instead of a Stellar Linchpin matters

This is the one mechanical fact the reveal actually settles. Vodyanitsa holds an ordinary Hydro Vision, unlike the other new Snezhnaya 5-stars introduced so far. That difference is not cosmetic.

Because she does not carry a Stellar Linchpin, she cannot trigger Stellar Glimmer reactions. Any team built around her will have to lean on regular Hydro application and standard reactions instead of the new Snezhnaya reaction layer. That narrows the guesswork about her role considerably, even before her abilities are shown.

Genshin Impact 7.1 release window and expected banner phase

Version 7.1 begins on September 23, 2026. Updates run in two banner phases, so Vodyanitsa lands in one of them.

PhaseStartLikelihood for Vodyanitsa
Phase 1September 23, 2026Possible, but Vesna was revealed first
Phase 2Roughly three weeks later, in mid-October 2026The stronger expectation

Drip marketing order usually tracks banner order, and Vodyanitsa was revealed after Vesna. That points to the second half of the patch. There is precedent for two new characters sharing a launch-day banner window, though, so a Phase 1 debut is not off the table. No official banner lineup has been published yet — that arrives with the 7.1 livestream.

Who Vodyanitsa is in the Snezhnaya story

Vodyanitsa is the lead singer of the Korolevskiy Troupe and one of the main figures in the Snezhnaya storyline. She shows up around the end of the first Act of the region’s Archon Quest, so anyone still working through Snezhnaya will meet her in the course of the main story.

Her name comes from Slavic folklore, where a vodyanitsa is a female water spirit. That fits her lore: Water Imps once lived throughout the city, and Vodyanitsa appears to be the last one still performing publicly.

Her introduction shows her alone in a backstage dressing room, talking to herself.

“… Oh, enough, Paraskeva, I know. I’ll hit those high notes, no sweat! And Xenia… Xenia, I’ve already memorized your piece by heart, too. I won’t forget a single note. I won’t…”

Paraskeva and Xenia have not appeared in-game, and neither name has been explained. Both are most likely tied to the troupe.

Earlier appearances and mentions

She has been on screen before this reveal. Vodyanitsa performed on stage in the Transcendence trailer for Snezhnaya and appeared again during the Version 7.0 Special Program alongside the rest of the region’s cast.

In The Final Gift animated short, Arlecchino asks Signora what the Korolevskiy Troupe performed. Signora names The Mountain Sparrow and remarks that it is hard to look away when Vodyanitsa is on stage. Linnea’s voice line is more pointed — she notes that opera audiences adore Vodyanitsa without realizing they are hearing the echo of ocean waves, and that there is something buried in that voice which could doom everyone in earshot if it were ever let loose.

What is still unconfirmed about her kit

Nothing about Vodyanitsa’s abilities has been officially shown. Beta testing chatter has circulated for weeks, and the recurring themes are worth flagging only as unverified expectations, not as facts to plan pulls around.

  • A support role centered on healing rather than damage.
  • Interruption resistance rather than a shield, meaning attacks keep landing but incoming damage is not blocked.
  • Flexibility across more than one team archetype rather than a single niche.

Note: kits shift between beta builds, and banner order has been known to change late in testing. Treat every ability detail as provisional until the 7.1 livestream.

For now, the practical takeaway is short. Vodyanitsa is Hydro, she is Vision-based rather than Linchpin-based, and she is arriving during a patch that starts on September 23, 2026. If you are budgeting Primogems, the safest assumption is the second half of 7.1 — with the caveat that the official banner schedule and her full ability set both land at the 7.1 Special Program.
